I remember being in my room, flipping light switches, they didn't work, so I tried once more, and it did. I assumed I was dreaming, so I did the nose plug RC which didn't work..

Sometimes people who are involved in lucid dreaming will end up doing reality checks in their dreams ("day residue" - things you've thought about or did during the day that ends up in your dreams). The person might also believe they're dreaming, or say they're dreaming, without actually KNOWING it consciously. There's usually no burst of awareness in these dreams like there is in a lucid dream, which is a good signal that it wasn't one. But I'm not sure if you felt that awareness or not, so I can't make a conclusion.
I was aware, I remember doing extra reality checks in desperation - I even tried the old BS pinch me one.
I remember having a dream saying and admitting that I was dreaming, it was VERY vivid, It was about a year ago, I remember it like yesterday, but I had no control, so it wasn't lucid.
It probably was a lucid then. :3
But remember that just because you're lucid, it doesn't mean you can control the dream. I've had lucids where I couldn't summon dream characters or anything. You just have to be aware that you're dreaming. Even if it's only for a second, it still counts as a lucid.
I'm aware lucid and dream control are two different things, but I assume they work hand in hand, is that correct?
I've had countless non-lucid dreams where I've controlled fire, was invulnerable, and did many other cool things. You don't necessarily have to be lucid to have good dream control, and you don't have to have control to be lucid.
Now I'm confused.
What is Lucid vs. Dream Control?
How can they both be useful?
Dream control's just when you can summon objects, fly, teleport, and basically use any sort of "skills" (real or not) within the dream. You don't have to be lucid to have dream control, just like you don't have to be lucid to dream about dragons and riding a dolphin.
Lucidity is when you know you're dreaming. You might have dream control, you might not.
In a lucid dream, most people want dream control so they can properly fly and do other cool things. If you're in a lucid dream and you don't have dream control (it happens sometimes), it really sucks because nothing goes according to plan and you end up getting frustrated.
So technically Dream Control is everything I (my character) does in the dream is dream control?
Pretty much. :goodjob2:
Thanks Puffin!
I see you have adopted 2 fellow dreamviewers, will one more be radical?(:
I'd like to advance lucid dreaming as efficient as possible.
No problem.
As for the adoption, I'm not sure I can take on another person right now... sorry. :(
But if I decide to go for a third person, though, you'll be the first to know. =D
Thanks man!
