First Lucid!!
So I started researching lucid dreams about 5 days ago or so. The first night that I tried I started to remember my dreams which I haven't for years. I started writing them down and did some research and eventually came to this site. I couldn't find a good technique for reality checks until someone mentioned grabbing your nose and breathing through it. I practiced that and today I had three separate dreams.
First I was playing a card game with my friend. It was really strange because the cards were different then what I remembered.
I then woke up and went back to bed and had another dream that I was in a museum dedicated to the movie Donnie Darko. Last night I was on a weird site taking about it and then it appeared in my dream. I won a t shirt in a contest there and then my next dream started.
I was in a classroom that was very orange. I recognized one guy I knew from school and everyone in the class wasn't very memorable. Then the teacher gave us handouts that looked familiar and the posters on the wall seemed familiar. For some reason I questioned whether or not I was dreaming. At that point I began controlling stuff.
I was able to tell people where to go and then I went outside and started flying. I flew really high and fast and started destroying stuff. It was the most amazing experience.

Nice work, I had my first lucid dream today as well. Wasn't very long though. I was so ecstatic that I was lucid that I spent the precious time I had just touching stuff around me in disbelief. Is it just me or did everything become REALLY lifelike when you became lucid? It was like a switch went off in my head, everything went from slightly fuzzy to a razor sharp depiction of reality. I felt like all of my senses just "turned on" and everything became far more vivid when I became lucid.
