Lightbulb The lucid sky: the sun, constellations and planets

Ok, I'll start by saying that I haven't come here in a long time, and I just decided to post and share my experience because last night I got lucid in a dream, after a long time, and thanks to the mail Dreamviews just sent me asking to come back

So I attained lucidity because, as usual, in my dream I'm always without shoes. This led me to a reality check and I had 6 fingers, so the lucid part of my dream began. I was losing control (closed my eyes, never again), but somehow I managed to get back into the dream, and it was night. The first thing I remember is that it was a bright night, because of the millions of stars that were above me. It was a free space, with very sweet hills covered in red, blue and green grass. So, the horizon appeared very distant, everything was so beautiful and big, and everything I could see were the hills, the stars and a huge tree, a pair of miles away. Here I tried different things to impress my friend Silvia, that all of a sudden appeared there. First of all, I tried to make the sun rise. Now that I'm awake I know you can't change light in a dream, but I couldn't remember it at the time. So, I tried to make our star rise, and I remember I really wanted that, so the dark blue horizon started shifting, with all of the stars, revealing the sun, and a bright sky below it. Anyway, it didn't want to stay there, it kept shifting back to the night. I will always remember that imagine, it was so beautiful and magnificent...
After that I asked myself if I could make a planet rise, and so I wished for Venus to appear. What follows was quick, luminous and beautiful. A constellation appeared from the horizon, quickly turning into the planet, red as Venus really is, big, spinning and making sound, then it just faded away. All of the other planets appeared after that, one after another, and they followed the same process, with the exception that every costellation was different. It was an epic dream, with a great lucidity after a long time. I wish I had more of these. And the scenario was just beautiful and perfectly calm and peaceful...

So, I'm asking, what's your experience with space and night sky in lucid dreams? Feel free to share anything that's about this theme

That sounds like a really cool dream.

Usually when I step out of my house in a lucid dream, the sky is dark, as in night time. I've never seen stars in the sky, or at least bothered to look for them. I always see a sun though, never a moon, even if it's night time in the dream.

I like putting my finger in front of the sun and dragging it around the sky. I did that with clouds too once, and they wooshed all over the place.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

The cloud whooshing thing sounds amazing Despite my bad dream memory I'll try that! Oh, and your post made me think that I'm not sure about having seen the moon in my dream :/

Well, I haven't posted in a loooong time either, haha!
I frequently see freaky things in the sky in normal dreams ( huge planets, aircraft or spacecraft getting ready to crash on my head) but in LDs I'm normally not paying attention to the sky.
However there was one noteworthy LD where I purposely looked up at a night sky. There were way more stars visibly than in real life, like looking through a space telescope.
Somewhat related, I once had a flying LD experience traveling through a field of stars. As I turned my head to look to the side, it increased the 3D realism of being in space...

The night sky always looks incredibly awesome in my dreams. I haven't seen a real night sky in years. I need to get away from the lights of the city so I can remember what stars really look like.

Nice catch, first off I have a dream sign much like yours (although with me, I'm usually missing a shirt, which is hilarious when I get lucid, but extremely awkward if I miss it), and I missed it last night. So I spent the remainder of the dream evaluating my sanity.

But in other dreams where I've seen the night sky or space; there is just a vast amount of beautiful, twinkling stars! It always looks so pretty The day sky is usually quite awesome, too. It's usually a brilliant, deep blue.

Last night I had a lucid where I opened the front door of my house and stepped outside (not thinking to visualize a day time location), into the night time. I actually saw the moon this time, and tried dragging it downwards so the sun would rotate around and come up. That didn't work, but then the moon 2-dimensionalized and turned into a white clock with light gray hands. I spun the hands around and it was pretty fun.

That is a great experience, I love it when beauty comes out in dreams. Usually the night sky is quite realistic looking for me. Only the stars are a more purplish glowing color. There is usually the same constellation in the center of the sky. It's never correct scientifically, but it's beautiful.

I have also made the sun "rise" or at least come around into the night sky once, only when I did it, the sun did not light up everything. It was just a large yellow/red sun in the night sky. The moon was crescent and so you had everything in the sky, all the stars, the moon, and the sun only on a night sky backdrop. Very exciting that you had this experience, it's definetly worth talking about.

That happens a lot with me, too; the brightness only goes up by a bit. I have to visualize the sky getting brighter as well as making the sun rise.

I agree with you, beauty in dreams is always perfect, ideal, there is that sense of sublime that you can get only there... And when it happens, it also gives me a lot to think about while awake. It really is like dreams can colour reality sometimes

Nice sky dream, so beautiful! I love sky dreams! Most of my sky dreams aren't lucid though.

I did have a brief lucid moment while looking at the night sky once. I didn't try to change it. The sky was just amazing. The stars, and all the different colors. Like seeing the milky way in all its glory. It was awesome. Looking forward to repeating that dream in the waking
