My first SP experience

So last night I had an interesting experience.

Twas the night before Christmas, and I had much trouble sleeping. . . jk I won't get poetic on you.

but in all seriousness.

so I slept a little bit, but woke up after about 3 or 4 hours of sleep. I occasionally have some insomnia issues, and last night I stayed awake for about 2 hours trying to fall asleep. (and trust me it wasn't because Christmas was impending). So as I sit their I begin visualizing things, but not in an attempt to WILD or anything, but just out of boredom. Suddenly I notice that the visualizations are becoming quite vivid and dream like. This sort of VILD is a very common induction of Lucid Dreams for me.

I notice this and decide to try to LD. I have never truly WILD'd with SP and everything but I can enter vivid visualizations as a dreamer on occasion.

So I had some imagery from a short story I had written a few days ago (which you can read in the Artist's Corner forum here on Dreamviews). The setting is very relaxing and after about 5 seconds of visualizing it I feel the wave of SP come down on me.

What i thought was so interesting is that personally especially during things like hypnosis, I can be prone to fairly vivid auditory hallucinations (but only during daydreams and stuff not just in regular waking life.)

So the second I feel the wave of SP, I immediately begin having an auditory hallucination in my right ear. It sounds like a radio voice (listen to the dredg song "scissor lock"). He's speaking really fast and in english, but I can't understand a word he's saying. I didn't really feel like being spooked that night so I just wiggled my way out of it.

In hindsight I wish I hadn't. I should've stayed with it and had a nice long LD.
