finally lucidity-i think...
i've been trying for about three weeks or so, doing RC's throughout the day, doing MILD at night and also trying WILD...i had a false awakening a few nights ago which i took as a good sign. (background-i had some LD's as a kid but in the last ten years (im 33) ive probly only had two or three). anyways last night i got in bed, was trying to fall asleep consciously but i think i just ended up falling asleep..see the thing is i'm not sure what happened exactly..all i know is suddenly it was like i was layingn in bed and i thought "i want to lucid dream", i was having hypnagogic images, random patterns of light ect, and it was just like i thought-i can do it and im going to do it now-and i just sort of slipped into a dream, it felt like i just sunk into it. the details are fuzzy now, i should have written it down when i woke but i didnt, i definately will next time tho. anyways i went into the dream and i thought that i wanted to fly, so i was on some kind of carpet or piece of board, and i started flying around, and i just felt this euphoria..i should also mention that the act of slipping into the dream also gave me this really intense feeling of eupohoria-does that happen to anyone else? it was so intense i remember thinking i better try to keep calm or im going to wake up. after the flying i went and did something, but i've totally forgotten it now. anyways then i "woke up" but i'm pretty sure it was a false awakening. then i woke up for real and just lay there in awe, grinning my head off thta i'd really actually had an LD for the first time in ages :D then i fell back to sleep and had a bunch of normal dreams...and by the time i woke up this morning, the memories of the LD were really faded :( but i am really really encouraged, no matter how it happened or how short it was, i know i LD'd there for a minute, and i'm totally psyched :):) going to try again tonight 8)
