I quit trying and that's when it happened :)

I was into the forums a lot, tried many techniques, but all they did were give me vivid dreams at most. Then i just quit.. I still wanted too have lucid dreams but i just stopped trying..

Then one night i went to sleep very late, at 2 am and there i had my first lucid dream.. It was EXTREMELY UNSTABLE.. Some stuff would be frozen.. i would try to do things and it would like glitch or something.. The way i became lucid was there was a friend of mine in a dream and i suddenly noticed i was dreaming so i told him.. He just stood there, so i ignored him, we were in a forest and i started to explore. Then this kept happening, it kept going into like a POV screen (point of view) as if i were looking in a movie theater or on the computer. Dark all around, except i could move and see my hands. So kind like playing a first person shooter in the dark. Then i finally i lost it, (what a waste!) when my brother woke me up. It was a school day, and it was 5 minutes till my bus..

I was so happy and stuff.. but it was barely anything so i just was like whatever.. Then that night i went to sleep late, again. Another LCD! This time i was again with a friend, a different one, and we were sitting on desks. I found out i was lucid and told him. He just look my way and didn't respond. Then i said "Really, watch this!" I had tried to make a fireball, i read another post on the forums, that someone had tried this, thats how i remembered. I tried but nothing happened, i just kind of imagined the fireball in my hand. Then i just become non-lucid and i forgot the rest..

2 LCD in a row, without trying

      Techniques:
Late nights (kinda stressful, had exams, project (i was working on it, the first late night LCD)

      Telling my friends
I talk to my friends a alot about lucid dreams, they don't know the concepts but i use them and say "Am i dreaming?" they would be like -.-".. but it still helped me

Welcome to DV! Congrats on having your first LD.

Late-night studying and sleep deprivation in general lengthens the amount of time you dream in what is called a REM rebound.
That may be a reason why you had a lucid dream without trying. Or the lucid dream was just random, which when it happens is awesome.

Oh heh, it's LD, not LCD.

Nice! I try to keep my mindset so that though I want to have a LD, I don't care if I don't. I think in the begining it's good to have a lot of drive in it and to really try hard, it makes you more aware of what dreams are and what LDs feel like, etc. But after you've had many it's best to relax about it. Another thing that helps a lot is believing that it is easy to have LDs. It really is, it doesn't take a lot of effort, just awareness.
157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.
