Dreams within dreams
I had really strange dreams last night.
In my dreams I was in a room in my old appartment. It was the evenening (the light was on) and there was a big cardboard box with letter cubes in it. I was puting together some word. Then I suddenly switched the scene. The same room, but now dark and everything was kind of blury. In that moment I said to myself- I must have fallen asleep.. I must be dreaming! The thing is, I rememebered what was the last scene in my previous dreams (room with cardboard box), so I concluded I must have fallen asleep while puting together the cubes. I wasn't really lucid (or it was a really weak lucidity- nothing as strong and vivid as my previous experience).. but I even thought to myself to start spinning to increase the lucidity.
Anyway I was walking around for a bit.. Then I found myself in a scene from the beginning again (room with cardboard box and light on).. and concluded I must have woken up and continued to put together words with cubes!
I'm not sure if I remember correctly what were the final words before I woke up (this time for real :) ), but I think it read "lucid dreams".
I never experienced anything like this. Dreams within dreams :)

I had a lucid dream inside a regular dream once. When I woke up for real, I was mad that I didn't realize that I was dreaming the whole time. :(

I'm not sure I'd consider them dreams within dreams. I mean, when I'm having a dream which I 'wake up' from, but it's a false awakening, the first dream only becomes 'a dream within a dream' once the second dream has started. It's not that the dream was inside the other dream. It's more like, there were two dreams in a row. But in the second one, you have a memory of having the first one, and think it was a dream.

I have dreams of lucid dreams, and it does upset me because I did not get the fact I was dreaming. I think what you try to get your mind to dream about, instead it has a dream OF that dream. Your mind makes dreams based on what happens daily, etc. So, if you keep trying to induce lucids, your mind will put that dream there and a false awakening. Dreams are something we do, sometimes during the day, so it's normal for your mind to dream of dreaming.
