The one lucid dream i remember

OK here is the one lucid dream I remember having since a very very long time...it happened about 2 weeks ago. It will be lengthy as i want to get all the details It started with my body in extreme heat. Then I opened my eyes and could only see sand around me. I was in some sort of desert: whereabouts unknown to me. Out of nowhere comes these army folk (not U.S.) and they take me in a rage speaking a language i didnt know. They take me to a rough looking building made of clay i believe near a small harbor area. While inside I meet a beautiful girl (about my age) that lives wherever i was. She immediately comes to me and pleads for help at least thats what i gathered by her subtle actions. A massive boat arrives in the harbor and the soldiers start forcing the hostages on. Some try to fight back which starts the soldiers to simply attack. During the commotion I take the girl to a hidden corner and try to tell her we are going to be ok. Then there was a huge explosion: the boat. The building began to crumble and I hurried the girl out with me. Shortly after our attempted escape, we fall. The explosion left holes in the sand. (This is where it got very exciting for me) We managed to land safely and found ourselves by 2 other natives: a couple. When we met them it was as if we knew them already. All of the natives could speak English to me now. I took a look around where i was and could never have been more amazed..I was underground however the light came through and i could see the land above. There was a massive tree and some other ones that looked the same but smaller. The sunlight hit the tree in a way that the color of the place was a shiny aqua color also probably due to the water that was also there. We were on a decent sized island with more islands around us. The male native told me to try going in the water but not to jump. So i walked to the edge of the island and nervously put my foot on the water and pushed down. I didnt go under, instead I was stepping on a thin layer of some kind of slippery material and water came to my ankles. I continued to walk out and the girl came out after me as well. i was so excited I began to run, and then I was under the water. I wasnt scared however but more amazed at what i saw. There were beautifully colored circular shaped fish that swam around me. I looked up and saw many lillypads floating above and the girl was hopping from one to the other. Then she joined me and brought me to the surface. We went back to the couple, sat and talked (I dont remember the conversation sadly) The last thing i remember was sitting by the base of the massive tree and looking out at the water with the sun glistening on it...then I woke up Once again I am sorry for the length but I wanted to get down as much as possible.

That sounds like a very vivid, exciting dream. Congratulations on having it, and remembering the details so clearly. But was it lucid? At what point did you realize you were dreaming?

It felt to me like bits and pieces of it were lucid...after the boat exploded i could tell and from after that it was completely lucid. If you have any tips for me with lucid dreaming that would be great...I havent had one since
