My First Lucid Dream :D

I was in a normal dream, so it seemed. I saw myself in a carnival area, with no people but alot of stands. Now i had no clue how i got there, but i just uttered loudly ''I am in a dream.'' and i suddenly gained control of myself, it felt like reality. God knows what happened before or even how i got to that carnival, but i was aware that it was a lucid dream, and naturally got exicited. I kept my joy to a minimum though, because i knew that too much exicitement can wake you up.

I looked around, while thinking in my mind, ''I can do anything i want, go anywhere i want.'' So i closed my eyes, and tried to imagine a location to go to. But i was totally brain dead as to where to go, and suddenly out of nowhere i just end up saying ''I want to go to a land with dinosaurs.''

Now i understand that right now you're just thinking ''What? Dinosaurs, that's the best you've got?'' Please note that i don't, and havn't had any prior interest in dinosaurs, so it just seemingly popped out of nowhere.

So i opened my eyes again, and i was on a dirt road, it followed a straight path. As far as the eye could reach, so i looked to my right and saw a big forest with a bunch of trees. But when i looked to my left, i saw a lake. A seemingly normal lake, except for the fact that there were... i kid you not, dinosaurs drinking out of the lake. I started walking closer to the lake, the dinosaurs that had been peacefully drinking their water all lifted their heads up and looked at me. They did not look pleased.

They all charged at me at once, and i just closed my eyes and imagined being somewhere else, suprisingly not effected at all by the hoard of dinosaurs headed my way. Sadly that's when i woke up.

But that was really REALLY awesome, after that i decided to stop lurking and join the forum in case i happen to get some more lucid dreams in the future, and also because this seems to be an awesome community.

I always readposts like "First time Lucid". it gets me motivated. Congratz on it. ;D

Welcome to DV! That's nice that your dream was pretty long for a first lucid dream. And the fact that you've managed changing the world yourself is really nice!

Thanks! I also remember not knowing what Lucid Dreaming was until i briefly read about it at another community called ''Facepunch''
I was very amazed by the idea, but also very confused, first i ended up reading someones story about their lucid dream, and then someone mention ''Dreamviews'' and i checked it out.
Found myself lurking here for about two months, learning as much as i could, and finally after having achieved ludicity for the first time, i joined.

I didn't really think i would be able to pull of changing locations already, but... i was barely thinking at all. I mean, if i had been fully aware then i would have taken something more interesting. But still, I made some progress
