A Lucid Dream, or not?
Well, last night, I attempted to use the method SilverBullet described in his "Possibly the key to lucid dreaming?" thread, where I told my subconscious:
"I lucid dream
I remember my dreams
I am aware."
So that night, I fall asleep as normal, and then appear in this strange place. It's just a road with trees, and a random Tesco shop which was in American Dollar currency. So I go into the shop and I eat a slice of bread, which startled the security in the shop so I walk briskly through some aisle. Then, they corner me, so I turn around and come face to face with my good friend out of the blue. I run past her, make it outside and use swimming motions to fly and escape. At this point, a man I called "DAD" joined me, but I don't remember his face and his body structure looked nothing like him.
I go further down this road where it gets darker and the trees disappear and I end up in an alley-like area, with stairs which lead to a building. It's like a square shaped alley though, it's difficult to explain. On the stairs I practice flying like "Superman" only to find it doesn't work. I try to jump high all the way back into the town with the Tesco in it. I can't jump that high, but I remembered that I don't tire, so I just kept going until I got to town.
This is where it gets really weird. First the "DAD" character says "I'm getting out of here" and he vanishes. Then, an image of a chatroom I use appeared, and something told me that "the dream was going bad" or something along those lines. Sure enough, some little dark monsters (which I can't recall the look of) begin to appear. So I ask how to escape, and they say "the sun". I fly into the cartoon like sun that I hadn't noticed before and then it prompts me to press a button asking me to return home. So I press the "Return Home" button, it tells me in about 5 seconds I'll be home.
Then, 5 seconds later, I wake up laid in my bed. I'm wide eyed at first, then continue to write all this down. I reality check to ensure it's real, it is.
So I'm laid in my bed right now, and I'm asking myself: "was it a lucid dream, or a dream of a lucid dream?". What's a lucid dream supposed to feel like, and did I experience it? I'm amazed of how well I've recalled the whole experience!

A lucid dream is when you know you're dreaming while still in the dream - did you ever have that "Hey, I'm dreaming!" moment? Or realize that you are dreaming?

You had some lucid powers but lucid dreaming in my opinion isn't about powers its about awareness.

Well, did you know it was a dream while in the dream? Or was it just a vivid non-lucid dream that was easy to recall?
