Wilds vs. Dlds
I was wondering if anyone notices a difference between the lucidity they achieve when they have had a WILD as compared to a DILD. The majority (80%) of my lucids have been WILD, but I have noticed that they tend to be less vivid compared to the DILD's I've had. I'am sure this topic has been touched upon in the past many a times, but I'm posting it anyway.
Anyways, I've noticed many people have questions about WILD's, so let me try and give so advice for inducing these lucids.
If anyone is looking for a technique for inducing a WILD, I think I have found one that works. First let me give an example on how you can sort of program a memo in your brain to do something in the future. When we need to get up in the morning at a certain time, its amazing how close you can wake yourself up to the time you need to get up, right?. I think this is how I taught myself how to do WILDs. I somehow program my brain to realize that I'm going to go to be asleep in a few minutes, and that somehow makes my brain aware of when my body is falling asleep. It takes practice, but the most important thing is not to try too hard.

WHOAH, YOU THINK DILDS ARE MORE VIVID THAT WILDS????
You must not have expierenced a true wild then!! You go straight from conciousness into dreaming when you obtain a wild, so your mind should be well more aware of what is going on in the dream world, and you should remember it a lot easier... At least through my own expierence, WILDS are far more intense and vivid than any DILD I have had, and for most people they are a lot harder to obtain. A DILD you have to wake up and remember, a WILD you are right there, and know what the fuck is going on and you wake up from it and were just there.....I dunno, write back and we can discuss this

bryan, I have to agree with MonkeyElk.
The majority of my lucid dreams are also WILDS and I find that they are far more vivid than the few DILDS I've had.

Well let me just start out by saying that I know for a fact that I have had many Wild's. I've only had 2 or three DILD's but the ones that I had were extremely vivid. I think maybe why my Wilds aren't as vivid is because I somehow get stuck in between the crossover sometimes. It's almost like I'am lucid of the dream but the dream hasn't evolved into itself fully, if you understand what I'am saying. So maybe this is why my DILD's have been more extreme that my WILD's.

I've had a few WILDs where the image was really fuzzy and faded for a while, but the more I explored, the clearer it got. By the end of the dream, I could almost swear I had vampire eyes or something because everything was so f#$king clear, lol (it looked much more clear than real life I'll tell you that).

No doubt that with WILDs I have more vivid LDs.
DILDs are only for having first acquaintence with LD...then you should jump on different techs.
Who could do RCs for whole years? :shakehead2:
Any DILDs I have had are mediocre as for my awareness. Rarely, it would start with high consciousness.
Also another disadvantage of DILD is that you may gain Lucidity in the end of an REM period...
However...when I made the decision to quit DILD and move on WILD...it took me a year to have my first -WILD- LD.
