      Question Lucid but couldn't control

Last night during my dream I was completely lucid and aware what was happening. Once lucid I decided to control my dream characters like I normally do. The dream character was I boy I knew from school and when I tried to control him it didn't work. Instead of doing what I decided would happen he came up to me and yelled at me. Why did this happen and any tips on how to prevent it from happening again?

hello every987 , and congrats on ur lucid dream.

well i think and i prefer when u get lucid dream , you should just stand there for a abit and allow the rush to pass...collect your thoughts for a few moments and control yourself.
if u were excited or afraid and so that could be the problem too.

keep practicing controlling ur self and be positive of ur self that u won't fail ur LD.

The fact that this was a DC of someone you knew may have been the deciding factor. Even though you knew it was a dream a part of you did not believe you could control a real person and because you tried they would react in anger. Just a thought!

@rebelseven that was probably what happened. Normally I have no problem controlling my DC's. Since the person I know doesn't really obey anyone my mind must of thought I couldn't. Thanks for the explanation.
