Here's my testimony: Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views - Nom nom nom, Mmmattelicious... - Dream Journals all LD's are in red, the red text after title indicates which technique I used to achieve them.
You don't need to use WBTB to make MILD work. It's more the mindset when going to sleep, but if you haven't had a LD after waking up in the morning, doing a short WBTB with MILD again will most likely give you a lucid.
