      First attempt at lucid dreaming

Yesterday I decided I would give lucid dreaming a try after reading about it from erowid.com. The result was a partial success and a partial failure. I slept for about five hours, woke up, ate some oatmeal and read the Iliad for a bit before going back to sleep. The dream I had was odd, but I do remember it fairly well. I was in a small one story house with a cat who was walking around and five women, who all seemed to want to get with me. I was uninterested in all of them, however, as none of them seemed particularly appealing. Eventually, the cat transformed into a beautiful girl with red hair. Immediately I attempted to hook up with this girl. She adamantly resisted at first, but after a while my charm won her over and we went to her bedroom to have sex. We got in the bed and I had noticed a computer to the side of it which was not there before. I went to the computer to look at something on the internet and realized that I was having a dream. The dream began to fade away, so I spun around, as I had read that was what to do when a dream fades away on some FAQ yesterday, nonetheless the dream faded away. I realized that I was dreaming, gained control over my dream self, had correct memories from my waking hours, made a rational decision and acted, so I can't say it was a total failure, particularly for the first night I had ever tried. Hopefully, tonight, however, my dream won't fade away. Weird dream, eh? Anybody have any idea what it could mean?

Hmmm, I think, the best advice I can give you is this. Don't always be eager to ascribe a meaning to your dreams. Since most of them are random things your brain picks up. But yea, that my words 'o wisdom. Dreams don't ALWAYS mean something. sometimes, they are nothing more than dreams.
