Hello! My first lucid dream!

Hello to all that reads this.. I am Horne, People call me Horne. The name is not a nick name.. I was just blessed with such a wonderful surname.. Not. I am 16, Male, from England.

Here is my story

I joined this site a while back, But had no time to do lucid dreaming since I was moving house and had no internet for over a month. Anywho, To my first lucid dream that I had on my third day of trying! :3

I went to bed late about 1 am.

But I was reading Hyu interesting dream journal. And I automatically did a reality check as soon as I started lucid dreaming.. It was so awesome and I got over excited. But my brain seemed strong enough to handle such excitement and I did not wake up.

I did more reality checks, look at hands etc. I had four fingers on one hand and the hand was small and had a wonky finger.. Strange.

It's weird how you lose some of your memory after such a awesome dream. Anyway, I believe I walked out of my old house with my clothes on.. My dads partners son was next to me, He will be called "Sam" He seemed like a "DC" Though. Hardly talked and just wined. (In real life he is not like that, Complete opposite) In my old houses front garden was partly snow, Roofs etc. But mostly frost. Very cold. Sam was next to me. I told him I can fly! He said no I can not.. (I needed to trick my mind into believing flying was possible) All of a sudden I search through his pockets and I have no luck on the two side pockets in his trousers.. I then demand my brain to give me what I want. I look through his back pocket in his trousers, I find brown/Coke hubba bubba flying gum. I
was amused of what my brain came up with.

For the people who do not know what Hubba Bubba is

I pull out the gum out of his back pocket of which he is shocked that it is there..
I tell him to eat it and he will fly. We do so. But We start to jump, Do the superman pose. Anything that can get us flying. He lifts a few feet of the ground.. Not me though. He then believes me when I say " I am your Lord saviour in a deep voice" :')

I can't fly, I try jumping. Just make it of the ground. But I am still sticking to my human senses to when I land it kills my ankles. I give up on the matter.

I look at my old houses front door and behind it I think of my new Flats floor plan, I as Enter I demand Sam follow me of which he does, But he does not seem happy about it.

Same floor plan to the finest detail, I went to the bathroom which did not have the same floor plan. The bath was in front of me and the sink next to it. So weird. Not at all what it is like.. I did the big no, no. I began to think of my sleeping body.. Things started going blurry. Then I was trying to stop thinking about it but it was hard, Then I managed to get my mind occupied again.

I thought to myself If I can't fly.. I have another trick to do. So I use my fingers against my white doors and make a portal, (Like I had read of Hyu's dream journal) My fingers just scratched into the wood. But I wanted to see what my mind could create. So as the heading like so.

Universe
Planet name:Riven
Habited by a native species and DC

Once I am ready, I hit the portal and it turns into darkness. I pull Sam in, But I believe I lost him.


This bit get's really weird..
I enter the solar system, But then it stops being real life like. It turns into a birds eye view, and looks exactly like the game spore solar system.. Very crappy. I go to the planet. with a header over it's name called Riven. I then randomly, Appear on the planet without entering it's atmosphere. I hear a God like voice, It says " This planet is yours to populate your own creations with, To make entire civilisations"

I see a hut and enter, This grumpy Beast is inside, Very ugly. In real life I would be scared, In a dream I was not. Though I did run away :cheeky:

He was chasing me for ages, So I thought, I am not going to do face to face combat. So as running away I use my mind to over heat the planet until it can no longer support life. I then go to space to watch the planet die.

I then wake up to my dogs barking.

Thoughts on Lucid dreaming: It feels so real, And you're there experiencing it, Yet once you wake up it feels like a distant memory. Like a holiday you have been too, You remember it, just only the best parts. I stole the name Riven from hyu, It's the only thing I could think of, Since I was scared my dream would end. It felt like I was in the dream world for longer than I was..

I do not remember a lot of talking, But I know Sam was talking a lot. I just wish I could remember. In time I will get better and hopefully remember much more..

I told my mum about what I did, She said she has been naturally lucid dreaming for years.. She didn't bother to tell me and let me join in on the fun :(

Sorry for the bad punctuation etc. I was rushing because I had not written down my lucid dream yet. I did not want to forget it after all :P

I know how you feel! But it's still great, and that can be improved based on your recall, technique and which period of REM you were in (if you wake up and you've just had a dream, you will remember it better than if you had a dream earlier on in the night.)

Excellent Dreaming! This gives me some ideas to try too. I can usually fly pretty easily whether just in my body or flying helicopters and flying Motorcycles. I've never tried creating a portal or going out into outer space though. I did meet god once and he gave me a little tour of the Earth, but he just always teleported us. The moment he would think of someplace, we would be there.

Another thing I have never done is to fly with somebody. That seems like it would be so cool.:shadewink:

Yeah, It's really weird. Seeing the white paint scratch off the door and seeing the bare dark wood of what you wrote. Obviously when I looked at Universe word when I wrote it on the door, My brain muddled some words up. When I looked it was "Univse" But I understood it meant Universe.

Hopefully I will Lucid dream again tonight! :D Since I am remembering more and more of the details of what I dreamt.

Your first lucid was far most complex and vivid than all my :cheeky:
Seemed like a great episode, especially the part where you decided to increase the temperature just to kill the beast xD Now that was funny :lol:

You should try writing your dreams in a dream journal here at DV, I bet many of us would enjoy reading them, because your lucids seem quite long :banana:

I guess I am truly blessed to have such a long Lucid dream, But to be fair I was reading peoples dream journals all day.. Haha.

I found it weird that I lasted so long for my first try. But I heard people's didn't last long on there first try.. I just tell myself that I am different and we are not all the same, I tell myself can last longer than them.. Plus I don't command my subconscious to do things.. After all it is me, I don't like being told what to do in real life so why should my subconscious not be the same? When I want to have something happen I just ask it nicely. xD

My subconscious seems stubborn like myself. Haha.

I dunno though, Just my idea on it. I am no expert.

I will start doing a dream journal when my dreams become interesting and I meet people I don't know and actually have a conversation I can remember.

Things I plan to do it create a peaceful medieval planet. Watch the Titanic Sink and be on it. Maybe even look for my first ever memory of being alive.

Those seem very interesting goals, especially the first and the last ones. I myself have thought on creating a town or a dimension a bit like Lord of the rings. Where I could travel trough medieval ages with some lore and some magic in bits and pieces ^^

But yeah, never thought on using lucid dreaming to find old memories, that's actually a great idea!

Dream journal's not only to record your dreams, but to improve your dream recall. If you can't remember your dreams often, do that. Also how did you go back to space after overheating the planet?

I use word for better dream recall. But thanks for telling me :)

I use word for some dreams, Because some are personal to me. Since It was my first lucid dream I thought I would share it, so other people whom are aspiring to Lucid dream can get more of a idea.

About the space question:
I am not entirely sure, Towards the end it was getting lower quality. But I Believe I lost control of my Lucid dream at that point. And then I woke up. So losing control that one time was not a big deal. Since the dream was collapsing anyway. If that makes any sense?

Your lucky. My first lucd dream was just me flying around a deserted city. Keep it up and you will have great adventures. Just like the time I met Yoda while killing monsters with the force.

Killing monsters with the Force is prolly killing negative emotions in the self. Fear, Hatred, etc. I had a dream about the desert too. In fact a few. In one of them I remember that I was in some sort of fancy building with all kinds of activities going on, but I decided I wanted to go outside, and it was nothing but desert out there and my car had disappeared. I realized I was dreaming when I couldn't find my car. This happens a lot to me. If my car ever gets stolen, I will probably think I am dreaming. I just decided to go walking around in the desert to see what may happen next. This to me, was one of my first really freeing dreams. I didn't need the car, and I didn't need to know where I was.

That's so exciting! I am so close to having a lucid dream but cant seem to get my reality check to occur, what methods did you use?

Sorry if I could not get back to you. I've been ill.
The usual, Fingers in hand, Looking at my hands during the day, Holding nose. Reading up a lot on Lucid dreaming and other peoples lucid experiences helps a lot too! Tell yourself before bed "I will lucid dream tonight and I will remember" Say it over and over again.

fOrceez: It's my surname, Lucky huh? It's real definition is actually a Horne Beep? If you live in the UK you used to be able to win a Pop noodle Horne. But people usually call me Horny. No specific reason for calling me it, I assure you. ;D

Sounds good! I had a Lucid Dream the other night using a method similar to the one you described, it was one of the most amazing experiences ever! I will try yours out tonight.
