      Inception helped me this morning

So this morning I, as usually when it's saturday, woke up and continued to sleep short little phases of sleep. (Wake up, Fall back asleep, wake up, rinse and repeat.)
Dreams usually continue even tough I am awake between the phases of the dreams (Oh god I hope this isn't too hard to understand). So I fell back asleep and dreamt. And then I noticed that I am in a small alley just right outside my house in the real world. But my dream was about a place somewhere in the mountains. I remembered Inception and a forum post.
The brain creates the world from scenes we know. I realized that these 2 places ( The alps and my home) can't be so close.
      I knew I was lucid.
Then all colours and the contrast suddenly shifted.
"Oh my god. The dream must be de-stabilizing" I tought to myself.
Quickly, so I wouldn't loose the dream, I tricked my brain by trying to achieve the "goal of the dream" (what I originally wanted to do before I became lucid) to make it become unaware that this dream is now beeing lead by me.
It stabilized again and I had a short lucid dream.
      I woke up normally sadly.

Congrats on your lucid dream. Many people here report becoming lucid after thinking about this site, inception or just dreams in general. Its an unreliable technique because you can't force yourself to dream about these things in your dreams but you can definitely try to influence it by thinking about it quite a bit in real life.

I think the more dedicated someone becomes to lucid dreaming, the more they think about dreaming in real life and when they actually end up dreaming they are a lot more likely to think about lucid dreaming while they are dreaming. Anyway, the awareness technique that you used is amazing. If you can train yourself to become aware in your dreams, you can lucid dream almost all the time.

Good luck on having more lucids!
