Partially interesting dream experience.

Ok, when you are getting really sleepy, and are close to falling asleep your thoughts are really vivid, and easily controllable, correct?

I had a dream the other night, where in the dream I was trying to fall asleep, and was supposedly having these "vivid thoughts" before "falling asleep."

It was an interesting experience because the entire time I was completely in control, as if it was a simple daydream, yet it had the vividness of a strong lucid dream but without the lucidity.

I have had NLD's with control before, but this one was sorta a weird one. Just found it sorta interesting and thought I would share. I suppose you could say, I knew that what I was experiencing wasn't real, but I didn't know that it was a dream.

Anyone else have something like this happen?

The only remotely close experience I had to that was calming my mind and WILDing in a dream. But my thoughts within dreams usually aren't very vivid, unless I'm lucid. But something like what you described? No not yet.

What you described there sounds pretty interesting though, I'd like to experience that though.

I have a lot of lucid dreams like this. I have come to the conclusion that they are NREM lucid dreams. On good dreaming nights, I will bounce back and forth between this state and fully immersive lucid dreams as the night progresses. This happens a lot when I take galantamine.
