New User Some Experienced But Unsure.

Hi, my name is Shahedul, I'm a 17 year old student and completely new to Lucid dreaming. I only came across this because I'd had a dream which I felt was incredibly real and when I woke up from it I could recall it incredibly well. So I googled dreams which feel very real and found lucid dreaming. However I'm not sure wether i have been lucid dreaming, here's what happened.

Experience One; Can't remember much before I immediately was at a college in Cambridge University. Now I haven't been to this college personally but I had seen the specific room I was in online ( a picture), I play piano at a very basic level and one of my dreams is to reach a very advanced level. In this dream I was sat at a Piano randomly placed to the side of this room, the room was a vast library. I was playing extraordinarily well for anyones standard. And I thought to my self 'How on earth am I doing this?', it's strange but at that moment I felt a sudden rush and it all felt much MORE vivid and intense. When I woke up I felt incredibly happy.

After this I immediately decided to look further. And found lucid dreaming, I wasn't sure whether this was my case but I was keen to experience another one of whatever I had! I came across this theory of tapping your hand to confirm reality all day long.

Experience 2; I was in a cloudy area not really doing much atleast not that I was aware of, I instinctively tapped my hand but instead of hitting my hand is passed straight through! (please keep in mind that i'd only been doing this for a day, i have no idea how much practice it takes) Immediately after this just as my first time everything became MORE vivid, more real, if felt like I was living, it almost felt more real than actual life! I was soaring through the air towards Japan (i couldn't see it but I just knew I was going there, it might be because i really enjoy anime, no idea tbh) I never actually reached Japan lol, I ended up waking up.

So they're my two experiences. I guess I'm just looking for someone to tell me whether they were lucid of whether I was just doing something else, because I can't tell. If I was lucid dreaming could you guys give me pointers, because I really want to train myself in this art, to make my dream more vivid etc. I would really appreciate it, those 2 experiences were so amazing.

      Thank you guys.

EDIT: I forgot to mention in experience one I became aware that I was dreaming, but only AFTER I questioned it i.e 'How Am I Playing So Well?' Second time I became aware once my hand slipped through the other.

These do indeed seem like lucid dreams. Although i'm still only a beginner myself so i can't be 100% sure, but i doubt anybody can. Although it seem's to me you've had 2 lucid dream's there .
