Anyone ever experience this sensation?

So last night I had my first "lucid dream" (it was short) in a while (I've been slacking on technique). So in short a girl and I were reenacting Titanic in the middle of the ocean. So she was on some sort of floating object and I was in the water, so I let go so I could sink and disappear like in the movie. As I sank into the water I became unable to move and panicked at the thought of drowning. Which made me become lucid, so I just stop and tried to process the situation and kept thinking, "Wow I'm in my mind!" I had no control and all I could feel was this swinging and twisting feeling. It didn't hurt, but a very strange sensation, then I had a false awakening, losing lucidity. Anyone ever get that weird "contorting" feeling when in a lucid?

I've experienced that when falling asleep before. but, not within a dream. In my opinion it was probably your mind trying to mimic the feeling of the sway of the water.

That sounds probable. And that reminds me, after being on a boat for a while (in waking life), I will feel rocking in my bed. Same with after I've been on roller coasters, except it feels like I'm hanging upside down! But those two things must have to do with my body's balance or whatever, not dreams.

Yeah :P I don't think you should worry about it either. If that's why you were posting this. You'll experience a lot of new feelings in lucid dreaming, and the majority of them are harmless. xD

correction, none of them are harmless haha not bein an ass just mentioning that you can not get hurt in real life from a dream; unlesss you sleep walk alot haha

Don't you mean all of them are harmless then? Also, I meant dream wise. Some people have trouble having lucid dreams because of weird mental blocks that could cause them to have unpleasant feelings in their dreams.

HAHA wow Yes that is what i meant i sound like an idiot lol, and yea I understand dreamwise you can get hurt and have unpleasant feeling

Haha. I personally don't believe in dying or anything from extreme dreams (if anyone does?). I went through a sleep stage when I was little, it involved a lot of screaming and walking in my sleep, and not remembering in the morning! But it was just night terrors (common for young children) so I'm better now and will occasionally sleep walk while sick.
