Scared awake by reflection

So, I was in my house, and my Dad asks me if I have seen our cat. We don't have a cat, so I use a nearby mirror as a RC. My reflection is of a stereotypical red demonic humanoid figure, but it's eyes are super creepy. (Eyes always creep me out in the dark IRL, probably something to do with that). Anyway, this reflection tips me off, so I try just vanishing th mirror. The scariest voice I have heard in a dream just replies "NO.", and I woke up with a jump.

Anyone else had problems with dreams almost resisting lucidity?

For me, mirrors are a method of transport and don't alter my reflection much. Although in your case, mirrors aren't a viable place to reality check, since most people see scary stuff instead of their own reflections in dreams.

Things that have distracted or stopped me from being lucid are usually things I would love to experience while lucid, such as rollercoasters and zombie fights, or things that are scary enough to wake me up (and I'm not too easy to scare). I become lucid more often in normal, everyday settings than I do abnormal settings for some reason.
