Reality Check did not work???

Hi! I have only had 1 lucid dream in my life.

Now, this night, I was dreaming. So, today I have a very difficult math exam, and dreamt about me, at school, going to the math exam, but the teacher told us that we wer going to do an english exam, and I worried so much, becuase I hadn't studied english! Then, I began asking myself, is this a dream, and done 2 reality checks in the dream, looked at my hands and breathing through closed mouth and nose.

The problem was that none of them worked! My hands were perfectly normal and my couldn't breath through my nose. I even told my friend to try closing his nose and breathing, but he didn't even know how to close his nose (lol) and I got abit frustrated! (In the dream).

When I had my first lucid dream (and my only one), I also tried a reality check (pushing my hand through wall), and it didn't work! The good thing was, that in my lucid dream, I was SURE that I was in a dream, even if it didn't work, so I flew etc..

Then I began doing different reality checks (hands and nose) becuase I though that the hands thru wall didn't work, but guess what, these don't work either!!!

You have to believe that the RC will work. Otherwise it might not do so, just like in your case.

Expect your hand to be different and that you can breath through your pinched nose.

Maybe you practiced those reality checks too much in waking life and made them too much of a habit. Now it's enough of a habit that you get the same results that you're used to receiving. Like what littlezoe said, you might not be believing in your reality check enough.

You will get the result but you have to try some more times.
