When you work in your lucid dreams do you think it is because you are affecting something in waking life, or because you are being distracted?
In the past I have found that I am working, or being put to work in my lucid dreams. I am curious as to the reason...
I am not sure this is what you mean. When i used to get a new job, I would have dreams about the work. Not about things happening at worrk, but the actual work.
Here is the common science take on it. When the brain is learning it first store stuff in short term memory. It then uses dream like processes to 'burn' it into long term memory. The process can cause dreams about working. I refuse to let my brain do this anymore. I do not always get lucid exactly, but I have some awareness that I am dreaming, and refuse to watch me working, or worse, experience working. I think that is a good use for the LD skills, doing away with the stupid work stuff.
