Bedtime in the Basement [Lucid Dream]
I'm in the basement of my parent's home where they park the car except it's empty other than a mattress and pillow up against the back wall. The garage door is open and I see snow drifts of bluish-grey snow piled up around the sides of the door. Outside it's winter and the snow is coming down hard.
I suddenly wonder 'Is this possible? Why is there a mattress on the floor. Is this a dream?'. I look at my hands to do a reality check and the left is fine but the fingers on the right had are semi-transparent or invisible. I realize I'm dreaming!
Things are a bit blurry so I remember to stabilize the dream and do so by yelling 'stabilize' several times. Everything blurry is now in better focus although some parts of my vision seem to be moving/shifting position at times.
I remember I wanted to try going through a solid object so I try pushing my hand through the wall and it slips in like butter. I feel a tingling in the parts that are now in the wall. I hear an animal sound and I start to worry about what might be in the part of the wall that my hand is embedded into and decide to pull it back out quick.
When I look to the garage door winter is now fall and I can see the tree in the yard with red and yellow leaves. I think about flying and suddenly I'm levitating. I float out the garage and down the street but things start to get blurry and the dream fades as I wake up.
One interesting note is that when I became lucid I could actually hear my real life breathing in the background. That was rather freaky and that doesn't always happen. I also wanted to share that I became lucid via DILD and it occurred 8 hrs into my sleep (so the very end of my sleep for the night in the early morning).
