Last night I had achieved lucidity, however I am a bit disappointed and have a few questions:
1.) This is now my sixth time (including when I was younger) of succeeding at Lucidity without the use of reality checks/dreamsigns. I am beginning to wonder if I shouldn't bother then with doing reality checks since I honestly don't even remember to do them in my dreams. I don't want to stop though practicing in real life in fear that maybe it actually does help me realize the difference between the real vs. dream. My question basically is--how many people actually use reality checks to accomplish lucidity? Is it necessary?
2.) *throws a pillow out of frustration* UGH--another dream consisting of me with Low-level Lucidity. My dream was based on the movie "War of the Worlds" which I saw two days ago I knew I was going to get a nightmare some time
Anyway--I was in a building, running scared. I looked out a window and saw a couple of big rigs crashing down right outside. I then saw a train car come smacking down on the roof over my head. And guess what I said to myself?! "Oh, it's a dream. Maybe the train won't go through the ceiling. Dreams are illogical and stupid like that." Well, the train then suddenly went through. I was trapped and heard noises that the train was going to completely come through and crush me. I then said, "Well, I can't escape. I failed. I need to get out of here. Time to wake up. Hey, Wake UP!! Wakey Wakey!! Get up!! You!!" And I woke up.
Now I like the lucidity part, but I view it totally though as the stupidity part because if I was deeply lucid, I would know to control the dream and know I can't get hurt in the dream.
Now after that rant, my question--How can I make my low-level awareness become more high-level? Is there anything I can do to improve it? I greatly appreciate any help
