Intresting dream
Hey folks,
So I don't usually post my dreams here, but I've been thinking about this dream I had this morning and it is very intresting.
***So, I'm at my old apartment complex, which seems to be a place where many of my dreams turn lucid (I grew up there from 4-16 IRL). I'm on the 1st floor. The elevator is acting odd. The car is not meeting with the floor. I'm afraid to get on because of that. So I have this thought since this is a dream (moment of lucidity) I should put my head inside the doorway of the elevator so when the car drops and my head is cut off I'll see if I die or wake up. For some reason I then doubt this is a dream and decide to put a stuffed animal in that situation instead of me. The car falls, his head is caught, but not chopped off.***
This is intresting to me because this is the third night in a row I've had that moment of, "This is just a dream". Also in this particular dream, something triggered my lucidity, but then I doubt its a dream. Something hits me I'm dreaming, but then for some reason I doubt it.

I have those moments sometimes as well where I'm pretty sure that I'm dreaming but not completely sure. When that happens I'll just do a few reality checks to be completely sure I'm dreaming.

My sister has had a few where she doubted it and went non-lucid again. I think reality checking is definitely the solution.
I had a lucid dream a few nights ago where I was in a spaceship like Halo or something. I was in the room where you eat food. Above me was a small mirror, and I looked in the mirror and thought "Of course this is reality, I can see myself in the mirror." So I was clearly doubting it.
Then I started moving my head and my face started stretching in the mirror image. I realized it was a dream and did my first reality check in a dream, a finger-through-hand test. Instead of going through it kind of pushed out like my hand was made of putty. I tried to use hand examinations and verbal commands after that but unfortunately the dream faded.
Definitely remember to use reality checks! They are most useful when you're dreaming. :)
