      Talking FIRST Lucid Dream ever!!!

I had my first lucid dream like 3 hours ago!!
So I had been dreaming a lot of things and suddenly I wake up. And I think to myself (I hadn't moved and my eyes were still closed) if I'm quick enough I'll go back dreaming and stay conscious at the same time. The next thing I know I'm running in my street, past my house. But everything is very dark, like nightmare-ish. Then I suddenly fall to the ground and I think to myself "I'm dreaming?" So (for the first time ever in my dreams) I do a reality check and look at my hands. I have like 7 fingers and some of them are really small. It's funny but that moment I was just 'relaxed' and I thought to myself "Alright don't get too excited here". It was still very dark and if I stayed there any longer I knew something bad was going to happen. So I think "I'll just fly out of here", and so I do and I fly through the house next to me (superman-style) into the sky and BAM, I'm somewhere else. I'm hovering 50 feet above the ground and below me are many constructions and cranes. Everything was very detailed. So I look into the distance and as I gain altitude things just "pop up", like in some kind of video game. I do a reality check again and suddenly I have somekind of mission to complete.
At this point I am not sure if i was still lucid, because I had to complete this mission and I didn't think to myself that in real life this wouldn't make much sense. So my question is: Can you be lucid but like play along in your dream? Because i think I did.
So my mission was to infiltrate some large complex. I fly through the first wall and again, I do a reality check and still know I'm dreaming. Some people from university and some people that I don't know are with me too and are helping me. Me and a girl are in a hallway and parts of the walls and ceiling were coming towards us and would crush us. But as I knew I was dreaming and could control things, I raised my hand and with somekind of force power stopped the walls from coming towards us. I take the girls hand and jump through the ceiling and run through several walls. Finally I'm in the main office of the complex and (yeah it's stupid I know) the mission is accomplished. All of the people who helped me were there and because of this 'adventure' we all had become very close friends.
We were all very sad because I knew my dream would come to an end soon and we would not remeber each other or what we had been going through. So as my lucidity is starting to weaken I quickly grab a pen and start writing the names of my new friends on the palm of my hand SO that as I woke up I knew who they were in real life and could visit them. I really hoped that it would work so that I could make contact from this dreamworld to the real world. Sadly, as I woke up nothing was written on my hand

So yeah this was my first ever lucid dream. I think it was pretty cool and I think it lasted for about 15 minutes with a couple of Reality checks throughout the dream. The only thing I'm not sure of is if you can be lucid but still have to accomplish this kind of goal like you do in a normal dream ? Mine was to infiltrate this complex...

Hopefully my dream was enjoyable to read

congrats ..how long have you been trying ?
Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way

Well, I have been trying sporadic. I mean the first couple of times I was really persistent, but as time went by I didn't do anything special or something. Most of the time I really forgot about it and this night I hadn't even thought about it. As I said I just woke up from this dream and immediatly after that tried to imagine a dream space to step into. I think I lost consciousness while doing this, but like regained it when I fell and did the RC.
I find it quite weird that now suddenly, without preparation or anything it has happened. But still I'm very glad that I did. I realise that I flew like most of the dream I think that I was actually too relaxed when I became lucid :p Like it was the most usual thing... Next I'm going to try to be a little bit more excited!

      Welcome to the club!

Good job on keeping your excitement in check. Looking at hands and counting fingers is my favorite RC.

Yes, you can be lucid and play along with the plot. As in the video game, where you can't really decide where to go or what to do. That's ok, practice your daytime awareness, so you are more aware in your lucids and be able to better take control of your actions.

Yes, it is definitely possible to be lucid and still follow the "plot" of the dream.

In my latest lucid i was lucid all the time until i woke up, but while in the dream it felt like i just HAD to run around and make other people lucid in my dream (which i did, and it was very entertaining to watch lol).

Haha, that must have been fun for sure :p And what do they do then? Isn't it that DC's in your dream always try to deceive you? I hope I can become lucid once more because lately I haven't been much productive when it comes to LD. ( By the way, have you ever done the SSILD technique? Because I would like to start doing it, so if you have any tips they would me much appreciated! )

I read somewhere that if you ask DCs if you're dreaming, they just say, "No," and walk off. I love that you've got these DCs walking around being well awkward xD

I practiced the SSILD technique for the first time the other morning and had my first LD from it It's pretty easy.

Check out this blog on it:

      Try reading this thread: http://www.dreamviews.com/attaining-...t-30-days.html

I participated in the test there, but had to quit before i finished. I had some amazing results though!

And no. Your dream characters doesn't try to deceive you, it's more like they react based on how you think they would react in real life.

In my dream i tried to convince my grandma that she was a dream character and she just laughed.
I then asked her to do a reality check and she fainted out of shock when her finger went through her hand. We then proceeded to go around town and make people lucid the same way. ^^

That's really funny Tonight I'm going to try the SSILD! Hopefully it's as easy and productive as they say it is.

It is extremely easy and it will make you tired very quickly. So make sure you don't fall alseep too fast.

      Good luck. ^^
