Your first and your latest lucid dream

I think it might be interesting to read about peoples first and latest lucid dream, because I think sometimes you can see a huge improvement there :p

Here are mine:

1st lucid dream, November 2009

I'm standing on a small hill near my old elementary school. Suddenly I remember my task to have a lucid dream and look at my hands. My fingers and nails seem different, so I assume that I'm dreaming. I fly down the small hill to a group of people who are involved in a discussion. I interrupt them to tell them: "haha, you are just creations of my subconscious, I'm dreaming this !!" - and I awake

latest lucid dream, February 2013

I'm on a blank beach with 2 girls I know from school but they aren't really my friends, so I'm wondering why I'm hanging out with them. This makes me realize that I'm dreaming. Since I'm on the beach, I decide to go swimming. I spin around to transform my clothes into a bathing suit and then I walk into the water. The water is cold but not as cold as it is in waking life. It's just refreshing and feels incredibly real. I do another RC to verify that I'm really dreaming. Then I dive into the water and start breathing... I fill my lungs with the fresh water and I really like the feeling. I think "wow, thats way better than breathing air" and keep doing that for a while. Then I remember my task to try surfing. I have no surfboard but I think in the dream it must be possible to surfe without a board. I fly up to one meter over the water surface and then let myself fall down into the water but keep sliding on a huge wave. I do that several time. Each time I fly a bit higher so it becomes more exiting. Then I remember my task to jump into the water off a cliff but since there is no cliff I just fly up to a height of a about 100 mts and let myself fall down into the water. It feels so real that it's really hard to beliefe. Once as I fly up again, there suddenly appears a city in front of me. It's really similar to Valparaiso (Chile) (I've been to Chile 2 months ago and I really liked the city) and I decide to fly there and talk to people. I fly to a place where I have been with one of my chilean friends and want to meet her there. The place is very crowded so I start walking around shouting her name. I just expect to see her and after a few minutes I see her standing in the middle of the place. I walk towards her and we hug each other. I suggest going to a cafe so we could talk a little. We do so. I steal a cake and we eat it while I'm asking her questions. She also asks me things like: "how are you doing back in Germany?" . We talk a bit until she gets a bit quiet and I hug her and leave. I start walking around a little but I awake soon.

Sure not all of my lucid dreams now are so long and intensive like this one, but this is a good example :)

Nice dream, seemed fun, your duration though could be a record. But I assume that you only estimated one hour.

Hey, of course I don't know how much time it was in wpr, but it really seemed like 1 hour to me, because I did lots of things.

Oh man....so long ago. I think my first one was just realizing I was dreaming because I was already flying. That or being lucid at school, and groping all he girls.

Recent was a WILD during a nap. I remember something about being underwater, and some animated skeleton trying to get at me. (probably should have written it down).

First lucid dream - 1982?:

Anyway, after falling asleep, I woke up probably around 9 something. I rolled over and wondered if I was still tired enough to try WILD. I relaxed and was able to trigger some vibrations. I did the "focus focus" thing, and tried to picture the beach. My room suddenly began to come into focus, even though I hadn't opened my dream eyes yet. Oh well, no ocean. I got up and left the bedroom. For some reason I was a little scared/excited, like that time when I bumped into that creepy girl. Enjoying this little momentary fountain-of-youth, I wondered if even when I'm 80, am I going to still look like this in my LDs? Anyway, I left the bathroom and headed for the front door. I thought about the cupid task but didn't really wanna do it. But I did remember a personal goal of wanting to talk with DCs more, you know, get involved. So I went outside and there was some kind of rally going on. A guy on a podium was hollering about something on a microphone (sounded super religious). There was a large group of people in the congregation, including one reporter. I ran toward them at super human speed (excited that I found DCs so fast), waving my arms and yelling "HI!!" to everybody. Nice start, Ophelia. The podium guy said "Well hello, bitch." I stopped, and my jaw dropped. I said "Oh yeah?! Do you know who I am??!!" And I jumped up about 3 meters into the air, hovered for a moment, then slowly landed before him. He ran away haha. Anyway, I went up to the reporter. She was a beautiful african american woman, with long spirally curls, and a red reporter suit looking thing. I took her hand. "Do you wanna fly with me?" I know there was more conversation, but I forgot it. But anyway, she said "Yes." So I slowly levitated, and she with me. We circled around a bit, and she made nervous noises, like someone on a roller coaster for the first time. I didn't want to go too high, so we landed back down in the congregation after only a few seconds of flight. I turned to talk to her more but she vanished. I asked one of the other people who she was, and one guy said "That was Ms. Jameson." Then I woke up.

I don't remember my first lucid dream ever, but the earliest one I can remember was about ten years ago give or take a few. I was running around at night time across the street from my house, and i noticed i could jump really high. So I jumped around the whole lawn. The lawn across the street is a church lawn, so it's pretty big. I jumped onto the fence and was suprised I actually landed on it, then I jumped on to their jungle gym. Then one last time onto the ground. But by this time it began turning into a nightmare, because most of my dreams back then were nightmares. A group of darkly colored glowing entities started hunting me in the church. Then at one point I had nowhere to go and I was probably peaking in panic when I just thought to myself, if only there was some way this could not be happening. That made me make sure this was actually happening, then I realized it was a dream. So I woke myself up.

The latest one, I became lucid at my house and I wanted to spend the lucid dream with my wife accompanying me through it. I told her it was a dream, and we walked outside of the house. A few nights ago, she asked me kind of a different question. She asked if I ever wished I could be a vampire. I told her, not to sound like a girly vampire fiction fan- I'm depressed on a day to day bacis that I'm not an immortal being that didn't have to survive off of air, food or comfort. So back to the dream, I decided for the sake of fun that we would explore the dreams ahead as vampires. Super fast, totally safe. Fun. So we start walking down the main street in front of my house and we see things walking by. Instead of cars, there's a little parade of a whole bunch of things that aren't humans. We saw a few yeti's. And a few large floating heads. Right after that we find ourselves in a roller coaster seat.
I'm getting conserned about these levers that keep flying around in front of us. They look dangerous. We get off the ride, and we're in a circus. We decided then to walk around and check out more of the rides, and whatever that might lead to after. We got on one particular ride that just went around in circles a few times. When we got off, I skipped and kind of flew a bit threw the bars holding up the walk way for the line. I didn't want to have to walk past a crowed. So then we kept walking around, and I walked up to a little grass area that had a circus contest with too wooden pegs of some sort. I forget a little bit after this, but it was a fun night altogether.

My first lucid dream is hard to recall nowadays I remember I had a reality check of some kind but I instantly freaked out and woke up. The second one ive had was at least longer and i thought wait am i dreaming and then i false awakened. I looked at the clock over and over and it changed and i realized i was still dreaming i went back into my last dream instantly and went over and sat on a couch and was thinking okay how can i keep this going. but then i woke up :)

1. i cannot recall my first lucid. It was very short and almost 10 years ago. I had it written down, but have lost the journal.


2. In my latest, I recognized the strangeness of a situation and realized I was dreaming. I employed the hand rubbing technique to stabilize the dream, and a verbal request to increase the vividness, both worked. Then I flew into the air and sang a mantra. It probably lasted 45 seconds or a minute. It was satisfying! I used WBTB & MILD to induce it. Here is the DJ entry:

Umm, I don't remember my very first lucid one, but I hadn't even heard of lucid dreams, so I immediatelly woke up :(

I had my latest lucid dream today ;) It was snowing much outside and I went out for a second, and then returned to house right away. And I told my family members that there was snowstorm. (I often see there are snowstorms in dreams :D) and they said that "Why are you lying, what a stupidness". No idea why, but I understood that I was dreaming and didn't even reality check (maybe I should have). I knew it wasn't going to last long, so I tried teleportation right away and it worked! it was interesting, but soon after I woke up. I remember the thing that even before becoming lucid, dream felt very real

1st - I was in my car and did the finger rc. I had six fingers. Then I walked to my mailbox and a vampire threatened to kill me.


Recent - I randomly did the nose rc. I tried to fly for a few minutes and my alarm woke me up

1st: I realize the situation I'm in and do that hand stabilization thing quickly. I'm in a movie theater's corridor and I grasp something to remember, I choose to remember the pattern on the floor. I see my mother passing by and I try to walk to the front doors but I wake up from excitement. I felt so happy finding out it's possible to intentionally do lucid dreaming wohoo!

Latest: Ah, short one. All I remember was flying trough a roof from where I was (corner-shop). I did do the nose RC before doing so.

My first lucid dream was sometime in junior high I think, before I'd ever heard of lucid dreaming. It lasted a few minutes and went like this:

I'm in this park and I need to protect myself for some reason. I realize that this is a dream, so hey then, I should be able to do what I want. I go over to the slide and kinda fling out my hands with the intention that a gun be produced, and lo and behold one comes down the slide. I don't recall a scene that happens next, and then I'm back at the slide again and produce another gun.

My last lucid dream series was last night. I was several lucid dreams -- each time one of the dreams would get to a point where I couldn't hold my consciousness anymore, I would seemingly segue to a new scene where I popped in with awareness. I had up to like, seven of these dreams chained together for about 20 minutes of dreaming. I'm only recently getting back into my lucid dreaming. Last night, I sure covered a lot of territory. I was walking outside on the street at one point, knowing I was dreaming, and I looked out to observe all the colors, and man, it's just so equal to real life, you know? I sniffed the air and caught the smell of car exhaust like a bus had just gone by. I mean, man. At one point I wanted to produce a mountain dew and something to eat, and shortly afterward I did have a nice tasty red soda. I flung a jet of soda on the ground intentionally, and saw the red hit the ground and then fizz, just like it would. That moment was one of a couple moments where I took a mental snapshot, intended specifically to remember that moment in it's realness. I'm going to try that a lot more, to take mental snapshots purposely. At a couple points I succeeded at my current realization ritual, to rub my hands together and say "I am lucid, the world is vivid" (<-- recognize that? lol, the music feaking ROCKS my world, man). I was looking for someone to get it on with and stumbled across this unlit room. I walked in and sure enough someone was on the bed, I took to be male. So I crawled right on it to get what I'd came for, and that scene ended prematurely (but not other recent ones ;). I was flying around at one point and ended up someone choosing to go into water, and once there intentionally breathed the water. It was sustainable, but almost felt slightly labored, like not quite enough oxygen, but something I felt didn't need to be left. A couple of my entries into dreams were really interesting, and have been lately. Like seriously I'm laying of a floor, and I kind of get up almost forcibly. It feels so lifelike, like making yourself stand up when your dead tired or pissed drunk, the kind of hard to stand up where you think you may not manage. I'm not for sure this is a WILD, in that I feel more like I'm not awake when they initiate, but I do feel like I'm aware from the absolute onset. Is there a term for that?

I think it's interesting how easy it can be to forget lucid dreams. Like that segment breathing water I didn't recall until I heard the word water. I just take it like forgetting what you had for breakfast. When you lucid dream longer, as much as you are genuinely there, the brain isn't used to recalling the totality of a stretch of time. I mean, really.

I was recently surprised by this realization as well. It is odd, given the amount of preparation, energy and desire that go into producing a lucid. In one way it is encouraging, as it leads me to believe that I have probably had many more lucids than I am consciously aware of. It also underscores the importance of logging dreams as they occur, as opposed to going back to sleep and taking care of it at a later time.

My first: Was about 7 years old. Was in school and I just knew I was dreaming. Then I swinged with spider webs, just like spiderman, while escaping from mercenaries...

My most recent: A DEILD to a place I visualized, a beach. Tried to stabilize it but I woke up, because of my flat colleague's alarm ;___;

I don't remember my first but an early one was closing my eyes tightly in an attempt to change dreams or wake up. My most recent was a day or two ago when I tried making a dream character appear. I think the reason I tried it was because I remembered people on this forum discussing it. I just concentrated on making it happen but I failed. I think it's easier to get an existing dream character to do something or to look around for a new one than to stand there wishing for something to appear out of nothing.

First lucid dream: sometime in 2007
I was flying around a hill at nighttime. It was the night after Canada day and that's all I really did was fly around trying to control my flight. I think I also saw a monster in my dream.

Lucid dream Febuary 2014


Dream: This part of the dream was all in un-colored drawing. I was killing some zombies when this lady zombie attacked me. She ended up almost biting me and that's when I awoke. I broke her neck and stood being excited that this was a dream. I closed my eyes and turned the dead zombie into a girl. I then tried to give myself a white lantern power ring. (which didn't work). After I didn't get he ring me and the girl went to do da nasty. After a while it turned out that I was licking my roommate logan. Which was disgusting. I cast him out of the universe I then realize I'm in the hyperbolic time chamber from Dragon Ball Z. Then I awoke.

this was my latest.

1st was sometime either late 2011 or early 2012
in the beginning of my dream i was running down this dark, gravel road to get somewhere, i had a whole massive dream but i forgot it, and the end was me running along the same road back to where ever i had come from, but i stopped and said "this road is longer than last time, am i dreaming?" and BOOM my whole body was numb as i became lucid and i thought "did i break the rules?" i then was launched into the air and began swimming through the air. i was on a very low stage of lucidity because everything was black, except for this one mud hill that we used to ramp a monster truck and had a demolition derby. everything began to get really slow and i said "this is taking to long" and i felt myself wake up.

my latest one was a month ago or so. i was in the middle of this baseball field-shaped parking lot with a big flagpole in the middle and a lot of other stuff was going on i remember a river and people. i again launched into the air and was kind of swimming (like how you keep yourself up in the water when youre not actually swimming around, so i was just hovering there in way) and i reached my arm out and tried to summon a dream character into my arm and i was going to fly around with them but it didnt work and so i flew around myself and became unlucid
