      Another LD :)

Since joining the forum (a couple months ago) I've had four LD's. Before bed last night I was positive I was going to have an LD. I'm not sure why I just knew for a fact I would. This morning I woke up around 9:30 and fell back asleep almost immediately. What resulted was an unintentional WBTB. I was in an alley way with some friends and for some reason decided to do a reality check. It worked. I got all giddy and proclaimed to my buddys "this is a dream lets have some fun!!" they seemed uninterested. "I'll prove it" I said and I glided about 5 feet above the ground. They were still uninterested so I flew away from them. It was the most controlled flight I've had so far. I then jumped about 70 feet in the air and landed in the same spot I started from (never been able to do that before ) I was flying around the city for what seemed like about 25 minutes. I flew up to some buildings and started reading advertisements. A lot of them had this strange symbol that looked like arabic writing. To my surprise the lettering wasn't changing much. It was all stable but made no sense. I saw this word a few times: "mistranslacalation". It was pretty comical. The dream started to destabilize so I landed and started touch the ground. It helped a lot. I took off again in flight this time rubbing my hands. It was working to keep the dream stable but then my hands got real sweaty. I started losing focus as the hand rubbing wasn't working... A noise in real life woke me up.

Anways I'm pretty excited!!! The night before last I had my third LD (which i forget because I didn't write it down lots of flying though.) All 4 times i've had an LD it started the night before with me being fully confident I was going to have one. Out of 6 attempts of "knowing" I would LD 4 were successful.

      I LOVE YOU DV haha

Also has anyone else experienced the sweaty hands thing? Are there any foolproof stabilization methods yall know of?

      Thanks for the read

      Cheers,

      -Generic

No foolproof stabilization methods.. ever.. no matter what anyone says.

I personally walk, and focus on the feeling in my legs (I can actually feel them moving). This helps me immerse myself in the dream.

      Congrats on the lucid dream!
The stability of dream depends on so many factors, like sleep quality, remaining REM, and even skill in lucid dreaming and emotions, don't think it's possible to find entirely foolproof stabilization method that will work for everyone, though it's possible to keep dream fairly stable without stabilization methods, but that requires some good skill.
I can suggest though that when you do the 'engaging senses' method that you did no the ground, you should concentrate on all senses instead of only sense of touch, the more senses you keep in dream the more potentially stable it should get.

Thanks guys! Yeah that's true i should focus on more senses while attempting to stabilize. Sucks to hear there's no foolproof methods. Does anyone know of good threads on dream stabilization?
