Fun Lucid Dream takes a sinister turn
I like reading about other people's nightmares because the are generally more compelling than the random stuff in normal dreams. Here's one that I had recently:
Started out as a lucid dream in which I find myself in a hallway inside of a rundown apartment building. To maintain and deepen the dream I dropped to my hands and knees and crawled along the floor, examining the green shag carpet and wall paneling. Eventually I crawled into a bedroom with a king-size bed. In the bed were three cute brunettes in pajamas. They smiled coquettishly at me and I climbed into the bed.
One of them snuggled up to me and I had started to kiss her neck when she suddenly shoved me away. I felt the mood had soured so I jumped off the bed, but the three women were now agitated and were yelling at me to leave. I backed away towards the exit and they climbed off the bed and came towards me, waving their arms and yelling.
I couldn't tell exactly what they were saying but the lights began to dim, and as the room grew darker they started yelling angrily and pushing me, even though I was through the door and now in the hallway. I just wanted to leave, but they surrounded me on three sides. Their faces were screwed up and they were practically snarling at me. I stuck my hands out to fend them off and they grabbed onto my wrists and began to chew on my fingers, all the while screaming in high pitched voices like harpies. I couldn't tell what they were saying any more and was not sure what to do. I knew it was a dream and was confused by how I had so rapidly lost control of the situation. I was just panic-stricken this disturbing attack, stumbling around and trying to fight them off even as my fingers were being eaten.
At that point I woke up. I'm trying to think of a movie or book I might have seen/read recently that influenced this turn of events but am drawing a blank.
