Could it have been lucid?

So, I decided to take a break from concentrating on LDing and dreams in general, during this time of not doing reality checks or journalling, I think I got lucid.

Here's what I remember;

I was in some sort of street and I think I was with a bunch of people, and something weird happend and I just said this is a dream! And began sprinting down the street, or flying? Can't remember.. Anyway, everything started to get fuzzy or blurry and tinged to an orange color, now, I would have just thought that was a normal dream of me dreaming it was a dream, but the fuzzy and blurry orange stuff made me think otherwise, could that have been the dream destabilizing? Shortly after the blur and that I woke up, so could it have been?

Help me out, what do you think?

This is the classic problem with not doing journal entries! It very well could have been, but I guess we will never really know :( I recommend that you stay on top of your dream journal, even if you aren't trying for lucids any more. Its the worst when you have a wonderful or profound dream in the moment, then feel it slip away like sand in a clenched fist as soon as you wake up.

It does very much sound like a destabilizing lucid dream - however there are also non-lucid dreams that act very similar to lucids, so its hard to say.

Yeah :3

The fact was that I heard that some people take breaks from directly focusing on all this and end up with some awesome recall results or even lucidity, so I thought it was worth the shot, and the dream that could have been lucid actually was recalled quite well when I first woke, it's just I am working all this maybe a week after :P

For me it, could have been a lucid, one of those spontaneous lucidity where you just get lucid out of nowhere. Taking a break indeed takes a toll on lucid dreaming. Sometime's it's like the body has a withdrawal from all the effort so the subconscious makes you lucid to get you back into it. Haha really tricky dont you think? ;)

And taking the break could be the reason why you can't recall it too well. But did you feel some sort of excitement when you said you were dreaming? Sometimes lucid are hazy and unstable and this could just be one of them. The important thing is that you experienced it and if it felt legit to you, then that's all that matters. Cheers

Yep, I got really excited and couldn't think of anything better to do then run or fly down the street, and then things got hazey, and blurry and I woke.

Nice, then i would consider that a lucid, spontaneous, and lucid :D

Considering that you were excited and the dream destabilizing, sounds more like lucid dream to me. But yeah, it better not to take a break from DJing because recall relies on that so much, unless one's really skilled or natural at recall. :poof:

I got really excited after it and started saying stuff really loud like 'holy crap I did it!' And woke my parents.. :P all worth it though! I am happy about this :party:

This happened to me last year, I accidentally stopped dream journaling and trying to lucid dream in mid October and then some time in November I had two lucid dreams.
