LDs before work this morning (Mirror Tricks etc..)

This morning I had a string of LD's that I figured I would share with people since some of them involved interesting things people may not have tried before.

I was lucid for about an hour and a half total real time.

I originally went lucid in a large house or building with a bunch of really good looking females. So naturally I was enjoying myself, doing what 24 year old males would do in the waking life. This was going on for a while when my actual alarm clock went off.

6:20 am... man talk about being groggy. I reached over and shut it off and decided I would go for a WILD because naturally I wanted to get back in that house with those gorgeous girls. This was the cool part and probably took all of about 5-10 seconds to fall back asleep and get directly back in the dream. I could remember the last scene i was in during the dream so I thought about that and let myself slip. Once I've been lucid, I will usually remain that way until i decide to actually get up for real. Today for example, I had about an hour before I had to get up for work. I figured it might as well be lucid.

So I shut my eyes and turned the dark gray slowly into the scene. I was right back into the dream, but yet it was much more vivid than before.

Here is where it gets interesting. In that scene it was so vivid I want to open my eyes more to be able to take in all the detail. So I did. It almost felt like when you are really tired and trying to battle your eyelids from closing, except in this situation I was not trying to stay awake, I was trying to preserve the detail of the dream. It was much easier however to keep my eyes open in the dream though. Interesting eh?

Now to the mirror. Everyone loves to play with mirrors in lucid dreams. The last time I encountered one I looked in it from across the room and It was a large mirror so I could see my entire body. I then decided to levitate to see what the reflection would do. I actually watched as my body lifted into the air. It was pretty sweet. You should try it sometime.

This morning in my LD I took a mirror and brought it outside to look at the landscape through the reflection. I sat there holding it at a good angle where I could see a distant mountain lanscape. I then tried to zoom in on the reflection much like a camera would. It worked perfectly. I made the reflection zoom in on this house that was probably about 5 miles away so close i could see the house in detail. I could make the reflection zoom in and out at will. Very interesting way to see something at a distance.

The alarm clock, and the fact that I knew I was going to have to wake up for work kept playing tricks on me as well. It was difficult to determine if I had actually checked the alarm clock or not. In the last dream, I was in my room in bed. I glanced over at the clock to see that it was 12:15 or some time in the afternoon. I was pissed because I needed to be to work for 8:00. So I checked around in my dream room and looked at the computer clock. It too was a time in the afternoon, but wasn't matching up with the time of the alarm clock. I went out into my kitchen and checked the microwave. Still not the same time, but a time later than when I was supposed to be up for work. In any case, all that stress finally woke me up and had to go to work. But it was a good morning of dreams.

I would recommend for people that have the ability to set two alarms to set one earlier than normal if you are good at WILDs. That way you can instantly slip into an LD in the morning.

Do I detect a hint of Carroll's influence, Seeker?

I have only had one mirror experience where I looked into it while lucid and told myself that I was dreaming, It really had an impact on me since I had never done it before. It was very cool to see my dream self , I think mirrors are very cool tools in a dream and I plan on trying to use them again. Good luck in your future LD's
