      Tried time traveling last night

I acheived my 2nd WILD last night after my 17-month son woke me up at 3am. When I returned to bed at around 4:30, I figured I'd give my nightly attempt at WILD. This time around, I was able to maintain consciousness during the transition stage and found myself exploring the dream world with full awareness.

At first, I entered almost complete blackness and was getting some imagery here and there. After remembering what my dream mentors on this board have advised in this instance, I tried some spinning. All I could say is WOW -- it absolutely works! The images form around you! I was able to acheive some flying, mischief, and some LD sex. 8)

During the last stages of my dream, I decided to visit my old middle school during the year of 1987. Although I wasn't completely successful in my attempt, I was able to reach my school parking lot and visit with a few friends. The experience ended when I tried looking for my ex-girlfriend. I believe my imagery faded due to my awareness of noises in my bedroom (i.e. my wife's snoring, alarm clock, air purifier, etc).

The entire experience lasted a complete hour. In LD time, I would say it was anywhere between 2-3 hours! To my surprise, I was able to block out the alarm clock ringing as my wife hit the snooze button a few times.

Have any of you traveled back in time successfully?

Wow! Such a cool night! I wish I had known about WILD when my kids were babies. I would have had PLENTY of opportunities to try!

I have never considered travelling back in time, but now that you have given me the idea....

Maybe go back and settle up a few old scores? Take advantage of missed opportunities?
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

I have tried to go to past memories but iv never actually been able to

i quit trying awhile back but i think i might start back, who knows.... maybe you could go back to when you were like a three year old or earlier, that would be amazing really.

I've always wondered if I could change history be going back in time via LD.

Since I'm still new to the LD experience, common sense tells me that I need to be more creative with flying, time traveling, and meeting people rather than shallow fantasies of LD sex.

I'm hoping that I can do this on a nightly basis. However, I'm having difficulty in keeping consciousness during the transition phase immediately after the tingling.

well i highly doubt you could change history with your LDs (please dont start a dumbass arguement about this anyone) but LDs are all in your head, thus you cant really change anything with them

Its so cool that you can induce WILD so nicely, well i've never even tryed it. im just trying to focus on DILDing.

I would love to have so long lucid dreams!

Just to be clear, I don't believe that "real" time traveling can be acheived. It was only a big fantasy of mine after watching too much "Back to the Future" and "Somewhere in Time."

Time travelling is one of my favorite things to do in lucid dreams. Last summer, I went back to a museum of my life and saw my mother holding me in 1975, when I was 3. I wasn't looking at wax figures or anything. I saw what appeared to really be me my mother and I. I had a feeling of nostalgia that was really incredible, and I felt very much in touch with the past by realizing that it is all still with us. Last December, I went back to 1975 again and actually was my 3 year old self, knowing I had reached age 32 and gone back in time. I was at my old house, except it was not really an old house of mine in the waking world. Just in the dream, it was an old house. My mother and I discussed old memories of things that happened according to the dream situation but didn't actually happen in the waking world, although I didn't realize that in the dream. The atmosphere was very surreal. (I don't know where my father was in those dreams. I need to go back in time and talk to him too, even though I am at their house right now and could go upstairs and talk to both of my parents, with whom I just ate supper.) I walked to the yard and talked to some religious cult in ancient Catholic like outfits. I could see that they too were time travellers. I told them that I am a traveller of time and consciousness. Last summer, I fulfilled a long awaited fantasy by becoming lucid and going to Woodstock to watch Jefferson Airplane perform "Won't You Try." It was phenomenal, and I felt extreme emotions of ecstasy. Woodstock took place in my old friend's yard, however, and there were a lot of nonexistent birds attending it. When I walked away, I was by a harbor, and the nonexistent birds were all over it.
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

It sounds like an amazing concept (time-traveling in LD's); I wish to try this.

Somewhere in Time is one of my girlfriends favorite movies
Theme of Paganini instantly triggers a memory, might be a good way to summon her in my dreams
