Hey Ya'll. Had my Second Lucid Dream After a week or two of attempts. I started working on dream recall and remembered a lot more dreams last night than ever before. I wanted to share this because there are some peculiar instances.
NOTE: This is an excerpt from my dream journal so there will be referrals to previous entries
This last dream was lucid. I entered into it from the "paralysis" feeling that occurs between waking and sleep (NOTE: this is NOT sleep paralysis as most LDers assume...apparently it's something different that feels like it. There's been a common misconception about this experience...learned about it recently). i waited patiently for the paralysis to subside (it took a long time this time) and pretended to "swing out" my body like I did in the last occurrence. Opened my eyes and I was was laying in semi-dark room. The sun was up, and shining through a window. Similar to the room I woke up in last time..the bed was elevated on a step I think, but the room was a lot bigger. I think one wall (the one next to me) was teal. First thing first, I got up, and I deepened the dream by looking at my hands and saying "clear". Everything went clear, and let me say..it was VERY vivid this time. It looked HD. It was amazing.
I wanted to experiment with lucidity so I tried something new. I wanted to see if I could have "fire hands". I flicked my right hand with the palm facing left and sure enough, a big flame rose up. Very realistic. My hand still looked normal, but the flame surrounded it. It was probably twice the length of my hand. It was hot. Felt very hot actually. As a matter of fact, I had to stop because I felt my hand blistering. Then I did this with both hands together.
Next, I wanted to fly. I looked at the window and thought "that'd be hard to fit through and i don't wanna do it the easy way" so I tried through the ceiling. Something peculiar..I noticed a subconscious doubt in the back of my mind. About the ability to go through the ceiling. And it hindered me. I couldn't fly through. Whenever I did jump up, chunks would fall down (it was dry wall material or something). I tried to "get rid" of the doubt and imagine the ceiling being fluid. Still didn't work. This is peculiar because the last lucid dream I had I flew through the ceiling no problem. Thing is, it was much less vivid. At some point I remember seeing previous damage in the walls and thinking "dang..this is real" but than realizing again it was a dream. Real interesting experience. So I walked out of the room, passed the room where my sister and brother-in-law were sleeping and went into the bathroom, which was very small..similar to the one at their apartment and there I started jumping up with a lot of power to knock the ceiling out. Lol. I was destroying the ceiling. At one point, I finally saw the white sky through the ceiling through the framework and small gap, but something happened. It could have been because I was exerting so much force when jumping...I mean I remember pushing real hard. I got paralyzed in mid-air and started squirming like a fish on a dock..I remember feeling something "pinched" in my mid-back and I woke up.
Not much to see here, but I thought the whole getting paralyzed thing was interesting.
