A Few Lucid Dream Experiments From This Morning

So this morning I had a higher number of lucid dreams than usual, approximately 10 (I got to sleep in today so usually that's a great time to just lay there and chain them together). After awhile I started to think about some meaningful experiments I could do rather than just normal (flying around etc) things I do while in a lucid dream. I came up with one I had never tried and another that I have only tried maybe one other time. The first one was I tried to urinate on the ground. I know that sounds probably weird but that's something that came to mind I had never tried So whipped it out and found I was unable to pee. I don't believe it's because it's not possible but maybe I was apprehensive that I would actually piss the bed in waking life if I succeeded. On to the next experiment.

I realized that one of the senses that doesn't stand out as much to me in lucid dreaming is taste (also connected to smell which is not as vivid to me). I found a bowl of carrots and purposefully tossed a few in my mouth and started crunching. To my surprise they definitely had a taste. It didn't quite match up to a waking life carrot taste but all the same there was definitely a taste there. They seemed too tangy.

Another experiment I find myself doing pretty often is trying to find out if dream characters know that they are part of a dream or even sometimes I will try to convince them that they are. I showed a group of people that I could stick my hands and arms through solid objects like walls and chair etc. They seemed surprised. Another guy in the dream I asked him if he knew what I was thinking about right then. It took a little prodding but eventually he turned to me and said "you think this is a dream." He seemed to get a little hostile even which is kind of typical in my experience that they do not like to be told they are part of a dream. Well, I pushed on anyways and asked him "how do you think that's possible that you know what I'm thinking about?" Then I explained to him that everything around us, every part from the buildings, trees, sky, etc, even him were all the same. They are all part of me.

Anyways just wanted to share a few experiences and experiments that were slightly out of the norm for me this morning. Hope a few of you can't help but grin about the pee'ing one

That peeing one made me laugh. To note, I've non-lucidly peed in my dreams, and woken up in panic afraid I was wizzing the bed. Luckily, that wasn't the case

I love how you just randomly tell dream characters they are dreaming. Unlike your DCs, in the lucid I had last night (incidentally, only the second I've ever had), I told my mother I was dreaming. She didn't seem at all surprised, instead congratulating me on succeeding. Very strange, that. Awesome to read about your experiences and experiments. I LOVE to read other people's lucid dreams--really makes me want to go to bed and try to have my own!

Nice SilverWolf. Well, maybe I'll try the peeing experiment again sometime and just commit to a wet bed possibility; For Science!

Yeah! It's okay to risk a wet bed for science. Because it's *science.* All important!
