What you mean by worst? All lucid dreams are interesting and fun in one way or another, even shortest ones and hallucinations are fun to play around with. :)
I haven't had that many lucid dreams, nor many scary hallucinations, but the worst one this far was a lucid dream where I became possessed by a spirit. Losing control of your body can be a pretty scary! :disconcerted:
There's nothing to be scared of in both cases, nothing in dream can hurt your waking body, and HH isn't dangerous either. :)
You know, I hear people talking about scary HH experiences, but I have yet to have them myself. I've had HH of course, but they have never been scary. Usually they involve me telling my mother about my WILD attempt, or to involve whatever is going on in my mind at the time. For instance, yesterday I had a vivid HH of plants dripping with rainfall--I was trying to WILD listening to a nature-sound background I made with Atmosphere Deluxe.
I would say the creepiest I've yet to experience is hearing my name whispered. Not shouted, like I sometimes get, but whispered. I know, probably not what you were hoping to read, but what can I say? Despite my love of horror movies and Silent Hill games, my mind seems content to give me relatively peaceful hallucinations :p

Once as I was falling asleep, I heard my mother yelling at me as though I was in serious trouble. Panicked, I quickly got up to see what I had done wrong. Turns out my family wasn't even home and it had been an audio hallucination.
Moms are scary, man.
I haven't had many so far, but I'd have to say one where I suddenly turned lucid while wolves were chasing me to my house. Instead of stopping and realizing they couldn't hurt me, I jumped into a wall, then started falling through the world, through many places and not stopping. That was kind of scary.
I would say the scariest/creepiest hallucinations I have had was when I was probably around 8 years old. I was dreaming that I was being chased by a bear through the woods that had tall, thick brush and when I woke up I found the bear laying on the foot of my bed roaring at me. I freaked out and honestly thought the bear had followed me into the waking world (it was my first hallucination) but after a few seconds the bear sat up and started talking to me, though I can't remember what was said, I think it was about the dream I had just had. We had a few minuet convo before it finally vanished. The other hallucination that creeped me out was around the same age as the first and it happened in the morning on the day before Halloween. I was having a dark dream that I can't remember exactly, but when I woke up I saw the words "This is the night of all hallows eve" floating above my face, and a female voice had read it slowly to me. I was creeped out the whole day by that.
I have had tons of lucid nightmares, but the one that comes to mind right now was I was on a different planet after earth blew up. I was walking around a town looking for some girl I was into (I was a guy in the dream) then the world started to end. I ran into a small room in the side of a wall and crouched down while things started happening around me. I knew I was dreaming and that my dream wanted me to leave the room and find the girl but I kept telling myself that this is too scary and forced myself to stay in the room until I finally managed to wake myself up. I was scared out of my mind and It felt like it took me forever to wake myself, I started to think I was stuck in the dream.
There is another horribly awful thing that happened to me in a dream before, and I'm not entirely sure which one it falls under if any, but I will tell it and see what you think. I was in an organization that I was tired of being in and decided to leave it with my friend. We were running from them, as they were hunting us down, when finally they caught up to us and I got captured. I knew that I was dreaming but never had any desire to try and control it. They tied me down to the ground, got a out a knife, then stuck it at the base of my leg and drug it up, ever so slowly, to the back of my knee. I felt everything like it was really happening, it was the most painful feeling I have ever had. I felt like I was going crazy. They removed the knife and I woke up in a cold sweat, finding that my leg was very sore on the same place they had drug the knife. That dream happened when I was in high school.
Holy crap, you have had some terrible experiences! Im not sure how you could have had a pain in the same place as the knife.. thats crazy! And some of your hallucinations are creepy as!
Have you had less nightmares and more lucid dreams now ?
Thanks for sharing! <3
Hmm... I have had some really freaky dreams. But I would have to say that the scariest thing I have ever experienced was something along the lines of a Hypnagogic Hallucination when I was ~7 years old.
I remember hearing noises. It is hard to describe what these noises sounded light, other than in terms of size. I remember hearing this really "big", loud, and frightening sound. It was obviously all in my head. But What freaked me out was that I was hearing it when I wasn't asleep. I also heard these kind of "small" sounds that coincided with a feeling of comfort or kindness. And directly after these "small" sounds, the giant loud sound would come again and freak me out.
As if hallucinating these sounds wasn't bad enough, I also would have these weird visual hallucinations. I remember a room filled to the roof with these towering boxes. I remember seeing that when I heard the scary sound. There was another image that came up quite a bit. It was a pinky finger slowly walking along the sidewalk. Don't ask me why. I have no clue what the hell that means. I also remember seeing other random images that ordinarily would not have been scary at all. But when I saw these images it made me quiver.
Again, all of this happened when I was awake. My parents confirmed that this did not happen in a dream.
I haven't had any experiences like this since I was a child. And to be honest, I think it is kind of a shame. I think, now being an adult, I might be able to more properly analyze these oddities myself. Who knows, I might even get a kick out of them.
*Moved to Lucid experiences
Thankfully dreams that terrifying only happen every once in a while, most are just dark and creepy feeling and odd things tend to happen, you should look at my dream journal lol. I have only had a handful of hallucinations and those two were the worst. The others were just kinda silly. Once, I fell asleep while on the phone with a boyfriend I was with at the time and I hallucinated him saying "Do you like Burger King?" and I answered out loud "I like Wendy's better", and he was like "What are you talking about?" He was actually quiet the whole time because he knew I fell asleep and was waiting for me to wake up to say goodnight. :3Quote:

Too many to list, but a small sample,,,
HH: Lady screaming like she was being raped, tried to ignore it, but it became so real, I had to wake up to try and save her, it had to be real,,, it was not.
HH: Look around my room and a glowing creepy ghost girl kind of like from 'The Ring' is standing in the room and staring at me.
LD: First encounter with a true dream guide. She looked like a middle aged Greek goddess and started cussing me out and glowing. I suddenly 'knew' she was real, and I freaked.
I think the creepiest are always the grey aliens, which are common for me. They scare the crap out of me, even though they're always weak little sticks that I could probably break in two with one hand. There's just something about them that unsettles me.
A creepy one that was a unique experience was seeing my mom, but then a giant mutant centipede thing descended from the ceiling and started chewing on her head. Also I've had one involving cute cats and dogs that get decapitated and still walk around.
Good outweighs the bad though.
I've never hallucinated these, but of course who hasn't seen their image in films/movies/tv (X-files, anyone?)??Quote:

I too find these guys very frightening. I think it's because, if you believe that even one case in a hundred abduction reports are real, that those lil stick's managed to abduct grown men and women and there was absolutely nothing they could do about it :o
That said, I wouldn't mind HH imagery revolving around them, because I'd LOVE to be able to enter an LD where I got to explore and possibly take over an Alien Space-ship, like in the Mothership Zeta expansion for Fallout 3.

That's kind of the reason why I'm so terrified of them. If you know what sleep paralysis is, and have seen the documentaries, it's pretty obvious most of the cases are just SP. But when I was younger I had chronic SP, though I didn't know it was SP at the time. So I would watch those documentaries and believed that I was actually being abducted every night! It totally cemented their place in my nightmares and phobias :P
Did your abductors look like this guy: Attachment 5414
Maybe this will take away all of your fear of them :D: Attachment 5415
.....on second that, that last one might just make you afraid that aliens are taking over the world's pet population :o :o
All joking aside, I too have come to that theory on many alien abductions. Many but not all :)
On another note entirely, despite several WILD attempts since my last post, I have yet to have any real scary HH. I kinda *want* them in a way, idk why :o

Ha, I can't even count how many times I've woken up with my dog looking at my face like that :D It usually scares the crap outta me when I'm all tired and out of it, but I think she's just some kind of sadist and likes seeing me suffer.
You're crazy for wanting scary hallucinations :P I wouldn't wish them on anyone. But for me, the times when I usually see creepy stuff is when I'm in a bad mood or nervous about something, also I had my first vivid lucid nightmare when I fell asleep with the TV on in the background playing some horror movie. I could still hear the screaming from the TV in my dream.
