Thread: Slow lightning, and a destroyer of cities.

I was sitting out in my parents front yard, watching a thunderstorm roll in I love watching thunderstorms, and more importantly being out in them =)

So a bolt of ligtning hit the lake, and then it was if the ligtning alone slowed down, I saw a positive rising streamer come up from the lake but it was encased in water somehow, I was dreaming, whatever, this is too cool, I'm just going to sit and watch.

Then the part of the bolt started coming down from they sky, in slow motion, it was just the step leader, it wasnt very bright, well once the step leader and the positive streamer met it flashed and then the sound started.... it was one of the coolest noises I have EVER heard, it had all the volume and resonance of a normal thunderclap, but it was slowed just like the actual bolt of electricity... and I could hear it as it ascended up into the sky it was unreal! I just sat and watched this pehenomenon, for a while, the vision of it and the sound is etched into my memory =)

I just find it odd that my subconsious has such a scientific basis. ? *shrugs*

I watched it grow, from the very begining , I was watching from high above the clouds, a coastal region, from the very first settlers, through rural to suburban, to metropolitan with outlying suburbs and rural farms... It was beautiful, I would "zoom in" just so I could get a closer look, listening to the children playing, in the parks, the busy noise of the citys heart and the quiet out on the farms.

Now wrtiting this I know it was probably my love of sim city games that manifested this =)

I was watching one of the schoolyards listening observing, I had no body that I could tell, and then I heard it... a horrible cacophony of things being broken and crushed, along with screaming, people being killed, and a loud motor driven noise. I pulled my view back a little and it came into view, whatever it was the thing was enourmous, all I could see were giant metal wheels, the top of it was beyond my view and it was destroying my city!! killing the people I cared about!

I pulled back my vision as far as I could go, the landscape panned out below me, my city was a mere speck now, it took me a moment, but I saw the thing, it was some kind of mobile city or something.. I dont know it looked like a construction vehicle but it was gianormous. I found it via its path of destruction two parallel lines, I could see them extending out over the coral reefs in the ocean to the coast, through my city and now a little beyond it.

I manifested a body and dove at the horrible thing that had just caused so much pain and destruction, I landed on top of it and a man came out of the control room of the vehicle, and was waving a wrench at me or something, and he started to chase me, I got scared, I dont know why and started to run.. I rememberd my city though, and then I realised... "My city" this was my world. who was he to destroy what I had helped create. I ran off the edge of the vehicle, (mind you this was hundreds of stories up in the air... it was friking big I tell you) I floated and turned around and glared at the man, I flew at him and grabbed him, we materialised in the middle of a field, and I said, "what the hell do you think your gona do? this is my dream!!" he looked shocked, like he didnt expect to hear me say that.

Everything had already started to crumble I said the words "my dream"... which is close enough to I'm dreaming.. so I started to wake up, I duno why but I just do if I actually say those words... But I focused and held it together, just long enough to watch as I turned the man inside out.

It was disgusting... and thinking about it kinds disturbs me now... I mean he did trample my city, but I turned him inside out while he was still alive.. =/ And this was one of the first times I was able to hold the dream together after saying that I was dreaming, and I did it just to turn this guy inside out
