Second Lucid Dream! My reality checks worked!!!!!!!!

So a week or two ago, I watched a video on YouTube of a woman talking about LD'ing and reality checks and what not. I haven't noticed any thing in my dreams to start with reality checking, so I went with her suggestions or counting fingers and checking the time (allegedly these are weird in dreams). I was a bit skeptical, just because I couldn't imagine reality checking in dreams.

I stuck at it for this last couple of weeks, doing these checks as often as I remembered (multiple times per day). Today, whilst I was blissfully awake and not dreaming on a huge mountain, ski resort town somewhere in Europe, and after having been turned into a lizard by a witch, I thought 'oh what an odd day, I'll do a reality check'...SIX FINGERS! Six....fingers!! Then I asked someone the time and we just couldn't get it (she said 6am, my source said 10am).

And then I realised, holy shit. I'm dreaming! Immediately I started spinning, I've read it helps, and it really did stop the feelings of waking up!

After a little bit of intense lucidity, it became a bit more mild, I felt lucid, and I was aware I was dreaming but I was sort of confused and didn't really know what to do.

If it matters, I went to bed 11pm and this happened between 6-6:30am.

All-in-all, not as cool as the first, but I definitely feel I'm making progress, and I'm super glad that the reality checks work!

Great job! Six fingers might be ordinary for lizard people though :)

I was pretty stoked! I was so skeptical as I didn't think the way my dreams would incorporate something like that. Recently though I've noticed that there are elements that are taken from my life. Reality checks being the major one, and the witch that turned me into a lizard was the main witch from the movie Hocus Pocus, and I'd read an article with reference to it that day!

Writing goals and reading them through the day and especially before going to sleep can help to deal with problem of not remembering what to do, and additionally you can write them right before going to sleep. :)
