Lightbulb I've never suffered lack of imagination

I've never suffered lack of imagination - until last night that is. I had a lucid dream (my second one in the past 4 days) and became extremely lucid. I had flown up to a ledge on a building and thought to myself, "Maybe you should do a reality check?". I did the poking-finger-in-the-hand check and it didn't go through, but I noticed one of my fingers was a mangled nub. BAM! Instant lucidity! It was a very high level of lucidity and I was fascinated by the texture on the wall of the building and examined that in detail for quite a long period of time. I remember thinking to myself, "Wow! Still lucid and no struggle to remain so. You ought to do something really cool while this lasts!" But here is where my imagination failed me. I could not think of a single thing I wanted to do (other than to remain lucid). Finally, I decided to just "let the dream take me to experience what it wants me to experience". I floated about 10 feet away no more than 3 feet off the ground then stopped. I slowly rose straight up maybe ten feet, then back down again - like I was riding an invisible elevator one story up then back down. This happened maybe a half dozen times. I kept looking at the texture and color of the exterior of the building while this was going on. I remember thinking, "Well, THIS is pretty boring! If this is all that's going to happen, I may as well wake up!"

      And I did.

Lesson learned? Have a goal in mind the next time I become lucid!

Lack of imagination or did your imagination play itself out in a way so different than what you're used to?
