Dream structure.....
So basically, this is a does anybody else experience this sorta thing?
Many times I experience dreams in layers, through various methods I've learned, I can navigate both horizontally and vertically thorough the various levels. When going vertically, eventually I can float, or shift out of one dream to another, or toggle between the two scenes which can be fun. But anyways, more recently I've been experimenting with meditating whilst lucid and playing with the pliability of the dream layer to reach my void/grey zone. I'm more comfortable meditating in that void or grey zone.
So sometimes I can hit that grey zone right away, the dream appears like a flickering images, sometimes like a movie reel, something which I can step into and out of. Kinda like stepping out of a canvas, into the void. One of the things I more recently played with was bending the dream...basically I was waiting for something to occur, and given that the dream is like a reel, I just decided to hover slightly out of the dream, pinch the reel, take a peek a little in the "future," saw what I needed, then when I released the pinch, returned to my spot, 5 minutes forlorn. Then I stepped out of my dream, and continued to meditate, which was cool in itself.
But has anyone else experienced the proverbial edge of their dream? What do you do when you reach a block/boundary? Has anyone tried to work with one's own dream structure itself? And what kinda things did you experience?

Never experienced this.
This is cool.

I've encountered dream boundaries during some lucids that were set in indoor locations, flying through the walls/ceiling I could only go so far before I hit some kind of edge, then I would feel like going through goo, feeling the dream body dissolve and starting to see abstract patterns, if I stepped back I would recover.
Another time I shot myself against the boundary and got through a very loud electrical grinding noise, after which I found myself without dream body in a greysh place that felt like made of visual static noise, once a while I would see images forming in front of me, I let myself get sucked into one and I was in a vivid green garden full of trees.
So far it never happened while flying in open spaces, but I'm still far from being an experienced oneironaut.

@Sloth, Thanx.
@Unbeliever; Although, I've had some neat experiences LD'ing, I wouldn't say I have much experience, I still have a long way to go, but it's fun. I've had similar sensations to what you mentioned, whislt passing through solidish objects, where they were behaved more like a goo bubble than the physical representation that they were. Even with open space boundaries, it was like passing through a fine bubble. I suppose the only exceptions would be the toggling, where I was in three places at once, one dreambody in one scene, another similiarish dreambody in the second scene and the third(no dreambody) messing around toggling through the various "me-s."(Alot like when you play many characters in a game). And stepping out of the film strip, I didn't notice any particular boundary aside from the physical/visual one of like a canvas(or like hoping out of a painting).
That's cool how about your experience without a dream body, the greyish place and the scene, I find that if I want to leave the grey space, I tend to just walk around looking for a scene to hop into but generally fall into a deeper sleep. :P Err..I need to work on my skills.
