I don't have a dream entry, but I remember the dream quite well:
I was at my old high school when I became lucid. I wandered around looking for a dream guide, but I completely failed because it was the first time I ever tried to summon a dream person and I didn't know what I was doing. Eventually I gave up looking and I sat down and pushed really hard with intention for my dream guide to come meet me. I then heard a really high pitched tone that drowned out all other noise, similar to what I hear when I'm about to pass out. My dream body started vibrating like when I take melatonin, or when I'm about to enter REM during WILD. This dream character then appeared and told me that his name was Oliver. He told me that he was there to help me with anything I needed. I then proceeded to ask him a lot of questions and he gave me really cool answers which I won't go into. That was it!
How fascinating. I, myself, haven't ever found the need to meet my dream guide. I guess I should try one of these nights. I have gotten pretty far on my own without one. I wonder why they are so different from the rest of the *ahem* derpy DCs.
I might have met a dream guide in one of my lucid dreams this week? I didn't consciously know it at the time, but after I made an attempt to fly for first time, I got up about 20 feet and fell back down. Then suddenly this guy appeared in front of me and said, "come on now, follow me." We were on the street in front of my house (I had done a WILD and "astral projected" out of my body and went outside before that). The dream character handed me a paper and I can't remember what was on it. But I was understood to follow this guy. He didn't seem like a dream guide to me, he was a normal, sort of sloppily dressed young man in his twenties maybe. Short blond hair, baggy red t-shirt. He had a bored attitude and when he said, "come on now, follow me" he said as if he's known me for a while and didn't appreciate my attempt at flying because we had a more important task to do.
What happened next made no logical sense. I followed him down our street, and suddenly I see a McDonald's and lots of people. It was like one of those outdoor malls, but right in my neighborhood. I lost contact with this "dream guide" and I was on my own after that. Nothing notable happened afterward.
Was this a dream guide? I never thought to look for one until now.
WakingNomad, what was it like to meet your dream guide for the first time?
Still trying to - superbly curious as to what my mind will percieve it as.
My dream where I met my DG for the first time:
I was in a normal dream about a zombie apocalypse when it suddenly became a DILD. INSTANTLY the dreamscape changed from my home street to a huge city. I started walking down the street, and suddenly an old man with Einstein like hair opened up an apartment buildings door, and started waving for me to come in. When I saw him (my DG) for the first time, and every time since, I experienced a sort of sixth sense that told me I knew this man somehow. I instantly trusted the man and decided to enter his home. We went upstairs and entered his apartment. As soon as I entered my DG's home, without even speaking; he started showing me dream powers. One by one I would mimic each skill he demonstrated, as if I was being taught... being shown what is possible.
After a few dream powers learned he turned around and waved for me to follow him. He went to a door, opened it, and inside was a long hallway. I went in alone, and as I looked to my left and right there were sectioned off rooms with different bounties: money, power, sex, fame, food, drugs--you name it. I walked the entire hallway without being swayed into one of the rooms.
As I got to the end of the hallway, there was another door. I opened it, and walked in blindly, only to find myself floating in a white void. I was in complete peace. I started to wake up, and as I did so, I heard a voice (and knew with that DG sixth sense feeling) that it was the old man (my DG). For the life of me, I cannot remember what the voice said. It was something very wise; that's all I remember.
When I finally woke up, I had to use the bathroom, so I quickly got up to do so. I immediately fell to the ground. I was out of sync with my body. I had to stumble to the bathroom before it finally wore off after a few minutes.
Ever since this very first LD, I've had COMPLETE dream power. I can literally do ANYTHING in a LD.
Also, I've since seen my DG several times... he always comes to my aid when I need it... I don't even have to ask for him. Only thing is, my DG looks different every time. The only thing that stays the same is that sixth sense telling me it's him, he is always a he, and he always has that Einstein like hair.
This was my very first LD.........
I was in outer space, alone. Zaphor, the red dragon-man, my dream guide was talking to me, floating in a cloud. "Everything is a dream. Your waking life is a dream. You have power over your waking life. Make lots of money, and it will give you power as lucidity does. You are suffering, and you will suffer more. You are no longer phobic of paperwork. All your fears will be conquered here. This is going to take time. You must be patient with yourself and never quit. That is the most important thing. Quitters never ever win. Just as you have broken free from your own limitations and the limitations others have placed on you in the dream world, you must break free first from the limitations you place on yourself in your waking life. Then, your mind will be free, and power will begin flowing to you. Money will give you power over your own life, and freedom from the limitations others place on you.
You are suffering, and you will suffer more.
I will be here in your dreams to guide you. You have friends in the dream world that you now know are real. You have fought gods. The gods are not dream characters created by your mind. They are real spirits. All view the gods differently. You see them as gods of the Hawaiians and Greeks.
You have spirit guides to aid you in waking life. You know who they are, and you will meet more.
You are suffering, and you will suffer more. Write down your night dreams. Hold on to your day dreams. Use the present to change the future. Alter your reality for a better life."
Then, he was no longer a dragon-man, but a great red dragon in the sky. He blew fire on me, and I screamed as I was engulfed in flames. I felt no pain.
"It's burning away, it's all burning away." I heard a voice as my dream body burned away. There was only my energy left. I felt pure.
fuck yes.Quote:
I felt pure.
I've not met a dreamguide but find the idea very interesting and am hoping I will sometime. The stories of people being shown new skills and generally guided by a DC sound fantastic. While I've been able to LD for many years I've never become that good at it, I could use a push in the right direction.
Dream guide isn't a subject I can find much on. Can you ask to see a dream guide? Do you have to just wait until they come to you? Is it something thats common for LD'ers? Is it very obvious you've met them? So many curiosities I have. Sorry I can't contribute to this topic, but I will be watching it with interest.
Humm I asked for mine in a dream and a guy told me that he was in the building next to me, but when I knocked his door I woke up. Gonna try when I have the chance :D
Wow…my experience with my DG is somewhat similar. In fact, I met her in my first LD as well…though I didn't know she was my DG. A couple of months later I saw her again and she appeared different but I knew it was her (also maybe because I summoned her). I actually asked her if she will keep changing her appearance every time I see her and she said yes. Here's my dream where I met her the second time but this time I confirmed it with her that she is my DG.
I'm in a low lucidity dream and at the end of the dream I start spinning and I'm in an abyss experiencing a feeling of true bliss. This lasts about 5 seconds and then I wind up on my bed still spinning. The spinning comes to a stop and I try to get out of bed. I find it difficult to sit up and in fact feel my stomach muscles contract trying to sit up. I finally make it and get out of bed. I know I’m dreaming and I do an RC just to make sure. I look at my hands but they look normal, which lately has been happening a lot. I try to breathe through my pinched nose and it doesn’t work but I try again and it works the second time. I also jump up in the air to see if I can float and I do float back down. I first think of flying out the window but then decide that I’m going to call Dean (my Dream Guide…she told me her name in my first LD where I met her but didn't know she was my DG) on the phone to see if she is waiting for me downstairs. I grab the phone off my desk and head out the door. I don’t dial but just call Dean’s name like I’m talking to her and she answers. I ask her if she is waiting for me downstairs but she doesn’t know what I’m talking about and maybe doesn’t recognize me. I tell her “it’s me, are you waiting for me downstairs,” as I’m waiting for the elevator. She answers “no, I’m in my room getting ready.” I decide that her room is going to be the apartment just across from the elevator. It seems that all the doors on my floor are covered with some kind of red carpeting, with the exception of my door. I go to the door and try it but it seems locked and I knock on the door. Then I decide the door is going to be open as I try to open it again...and voila...it opens. I walk in and it’s a nice apartment and I hear the shower running. I go to the bathroom and I see the door is kind of cracked open with some steam coming out. I knock on the door and enter and I see an attractive black woman about 5’5 with short hair (not too short) taking a shower and I know it’s Dean. It’s a large bathroom and the shower is sort of in the middle and it’s open with no doors around it. She covers herself up but I’m not even really looking at her nudity...maybe just a little. I turn around and I tell her “Dean, I have to ask you a question - are you my dream guide?” She’s still in the shower and she answers me but I don’t quite hear what she says. I ask her again and she says “yes.” I run to hug her and tell her “oh my god, I’m so happy” and in fact I am. I don’t care about the fact that she’s naked and I have no sexual thoughts toward her. I’m just truly happy to encounter my DG. I ask her to help me in the future and she says she will. I also ask her if she’s going to look different every time she appears and she says that she will and in fact tomorrow (or some other day) she will look like (I don’t recall what she said). Maybe I’m paying less attention still caught up in being so happy finding out she’s my DG. There is a baby or maybe even two babies in the apartment but I kind of just ignore them. I figure that while Dean gets ready I can go have some fun and I ask her if she has any attractive girlfriends that live nearby...maybe neighbors so I could just go next door. She says “no...oh yea, there is one.” I head out into the living room and she’s almost ready also she just doesn’t have her shoes on. So I decide to just wait for her to get her shoes on and I think maybe I also decide to do a recall of my personal info (name, dob, address, phone #, etc.) but then I wake up.
Are your spirit guides different from your dream guides?
For about a month my #1 goal was to meet my spirit guide.
During that month I had 3 dreams where I met my spirit/dream guides
28/10/2013
I am done with my orthodontist appointment, I walk down the stairs (of my aunt's house) and find my aunt and uncle in the living room. One thing leads to another and I realize I'm dreaming. I ask my aunt whether she knows my spirit/dream guide. She does. She takes me to his house, which belongs to the same complex. Once inside I meet this man - a completely ordinary man. He is light in complexion with short black hair. He knows who I am without need for an introduction. We go outside to have a game of darts. On his first turn he scores a double bullseye (he only throws two). I am impressed by this.
P.S. I am an aspiring darts player :P

I'm sniping in some kind of battlefield in, what looked like, an airport. When the enemies are defeated, I proceed onward. I have one teammate. We are approached by government officials who are funding our trip to the USA. I'm told to go to one of the rooms to finalize everything so I follow my teammate. The room we enter has a 6 on the wall. The lady there tells me that I need to be at room 4 not 6. So I exit. Now searching this huge vast building for room #4. The room next door is labeled 21. I realize that it's going to take forever to search this place knowing that the rooms are in no particular order because it's all a dream... Wait! IT'S A DREAM. I know what I need to do now: Call on my spirit/dream guide. I grip my amethyst crystal and call him/her. I see a flash in the night sky revealing white wings. The winged entity swoops down and grabs me by my arms. I am let down gently on the roof of the building. The entity was not angelic but more humanoid/bird-like.

I am walking home from school and outside my gate, waits a figure wearing a large Japanese straw hat. It shades his face to such an extent that his facial features are indistinguishable. Kinda like Yoshimitsu from Tekken. When we meet, I feel a rush of energy coursing through me. I have a new level of clarity. It feels amazing. He then talks to me. He first tells me that he is my spirit/dream guide, and then says: "Your psychic powers are being awakened, I am so proud of you". He embraces me with a bro-hug.
I think maybe I didn't really see her in a sexual way…more as a very good friend or a sibling even. This is actually very strange for me because usually I have trouble staying in the dream as soon as I get excited in a sexual way (except in low lucidity dreams where I'm able to stay in the dream).
Oh man! Glad there's a thread about this! I've had so many great experiences with Dream Guides!
The strangest episode was the first time, when I met one in a lucid dream set in a grocery store...
When I became lucid, I remembered that my goal was to ask to see my dream guide, so I went off in search of one. In the next aisle of the grocery store, I run into an old man, who is mute, in a wheelchair, wearing sunglasses and a hat - so basically, completely non-communicative, haha. I hesitantly ask, "are u my dream guide?" He doesn't talk (because he doesn't seem able to) but just summons me to follow him. I'm following after him, excitedly asking him question after question but he never answers me.
I think to myself that something in my consciousness must be throwing up roadblocks that are hindering our communication (maybe it's latent fear, aggression, doubt, over-excitement, etc.) So I become disheartened and the dream starts to dissolve. I can't look at my hands to stabilize the dream because I no longer have any and I cant spin, because there are no more visuals to spin. But in a last ditch effort, I call out to him in the dark for a technique that will help me keep the dream stable. He suddenly wrangles himself up from his wheelchair and yells something, a technique to stay in the dream. Whatever it is, I do it and it works - I'm back in the dream again! Then it feels like I've broken through whatever I was trying to break through and I let the dream dissolve.
Since that dream of "breaking through", I've had several very insightful encounters with dream guides :)
I have had several dreams with the same person in other situations im not sure if this is my dream guide because he is quite mysterious.
In one of my dreams i was on a jet ski with a DC and we were chased by cops, we fought and eventually beat them. While we were going back to the beach i realized "This is a dream". Then i did some RC just in case, did some stabilization and began having fun.I was walking to a beach restaurant and there was a masked man with black robes in the shadow of the restaurant.I approached him and asked him whats up, he giggled and looked at me (i remember his mask only revealed one eye, and it was red) when i saw his eye i could not move anymore he started making a black hole that sucked me in after that i lost my lucidity and i dont remember what happened next.
I lost my lucidity like that several times.
Well i thought the fact that i see him every now and then he might be trying to say something to me...
Next time i see him im gonna beat him up and ask him some questions :).
I do not know for sure if she is mine Dream Guide or not, but there is one character that appears in mine lucid dreams almost every time I attempt to contact mine subconscious or find mine Dream Guide. Though, I have pretty much never gotten her to talk to me.
She has long, slightly bushy orange-blonde hair, and dark, meadow-green eyes, and a pretty face with sharp, slender, and symmetrical features. She has a lean figure, and her skin is a pinkish ivory. She is always dressed in all-green. I am guessing she really likes the colour. Ironically enough, green has always been mine favourite colour, even as a toddler. She seems to be roughly the same height as me, five-foot-ten, though she usually towers over me in her heels. She is just like me: cold, jaded, and remote.
The first time I saw her, she was dressed in a chic dark green trench coat. However, I thought nothing of it, assuming she was just a random dream character. Nevertheless, for some reason she just stuck in the back of mine mind. The second time I encountered her, the sky was dim and grey, and it was raining. Though this dream occurred over two years ago, I remember it like it was yesterday. We were in what resembled the Italian Gardens of Hyde Park. This time, she was dressed in a long, shiny green spaghetti strap dress, matched with a pair of stilettos. She was also holding a big, dark green umbrella over her head. I attempted to interact with her. The only thing she told me was her name. She never once glanced at me during the encounter. I asked her if she was mine Dream Guide, but she did not answer, and just kept walking. Not too long after, she made it quite clear that she did not want any company. Ever since, I have generally just kept mine distance. Once in a while I try to talk to her, but she usually just ignores me.
I know that in my the lucid dream i had yesterday (my 2nd one) my dream guid probably came up. Cuz k remember that one person was telling me how the dream works and he wad giving me advises
I walked into the front room of my house and asked to meet my dream guide. She materialized in the kitchen doorway; a young, beautiful woman, with black hair, a black top that exposed exactly the right amount of her belly and a short skirt. I posed the obvious question: "are you my dream guide?" and she responded with a very enthusiastic "yes!". I asked what we should do now and she transported us to a pitch-black forest, where we promptly had sex.
