      INCREDIBLE epic LD

I was in the midst of an hour-long LD that just didn't seem to want to end (which is alright with me)! I was on a boat in the middle of this giant river/lake. I somehow communicated to my cousin who was with me on the boat that we were both in my dream. So I asked her if she wanted to fly with me. She took off flying way up in the air and I took off after her. We were probably about 300 feet above the giant river/lake when all the sudden I hear this roar and a HUGE torrent of water bursts forth at the mouth of this river. It was like the type of torrent that you would see shooting out of a dam, but 100 times bigger. It was like this was a waterfall because it was coming from an elevation, but wasn't very tall. It was just as if a dam broke upstream and water was exploding into the lake.

At the moment this happened, epic orchestral music started playing in my dream, the most beautiful music! Then next to the gushing water another torrent of water burst forth, and then as I turned around, yet another torrent exploded into the lake. I was overcome by the sheer magnitude of this spectacle. Everywhere I turned there were giant torrents of water exploding from the edge of the lake.

Something interesting that i noticed was that the framerate of my dream slowed down noticeably during this period, as if my brain video card couldn't handle the complexity of what was going on, lol. Then it sped back up again.

Finally I heard the music start to fade, and I expected my dream to end, but I managed to focus on it and keep it alive.

Anyway it was just one of those dreams that was so overpowering emotionally, I had to share it. I almost want to make a computer drawing of it to show how beautiful it was.

That's awesome. I hardly ever hear music in my dreams, but when I do it's usually pretty jarring.

And speaking of framerate, I once had a dream that I was trying to play a very laggy game. What a lame dream that was.

I don't often hear music playing in my dreams either, unless it's just part of the plot, like someone playing a guitar, or like the time I was conducting an orchestra for some reason I couldn't understand.

But in this dream, the powerful orchestral music started at the very moment the explosion of water burst forth, just like in a dramatic movie. I remember looking at all of this and making a very strong mental note to remember this after I woke up!

Concerning the slowed frame rate, it didn't necessarily detract from the dream, I found it slightly interesting. After a few seconds it sped up anyway. I wonder if it actually had to do with brain overload or not.

Anyway, I've never seen anything quite so beautiful even in real life. The sparkling water below, the angle of the sun in the sky and how the light hit the bursting water, the colors in the clouds.. it was breathtaking beyond words.

Sounds really great! It especially appeals to me because of my love of natural bodies of water and especially WATERFALLS! I often have dreams involving water falls and cliff jumping (into the water), infact my first LD involved waterfalls.

I sometimes hear music in my dreams and wish it would happen more often, that's something I want to do when Lucid, try to create dream music to go along with the LD.

Some of my most wonderful and moving dreams have been ones that involved bodies of water. Often on my nearby river, the Columbia river, for some reason. Something about being on the water, or in it, in a dream, is really enjoyable for me.

Yeah, it's kind of cool to have music play all the sudden. I'd like to see if I can make it happen again. Although one thing I enjoyed about it was that even though it was a lucid dream, I wasn't in control of everything and my dream still wrote itself and created surprises for me.

Isn't it amazing how beautiful and inspiring a lucid dream can be sometimes. And to have it last for an hour is very cool. I also seem to be around water alot in my dreams. I always seem to be near a coastline or some other big body of water. And I have cliff jumping (except usually I didnt have any choice but jumping) dreams quite a bit too. What an awesome gift lucid dreams can be. I'll catch ya on the flipside!

      uhhhh whats a torrent

ive had amazingly epic dreams that also included me flying in te air and through a dark clear ocean with sunken ships and all kinds of aqualife. such dreams are beautiful. that slow frame rate thing is funny. maybe it was more like a cinematic effect or something. sometimes i see normal mapping in my dreams! (would that count as normal mapping or real polygons! lol)
