Insanely Long Dreams
I started using MILD a few years ago and now i have Lucid Dreams every night. What's bothering me is that so far I'm the only one i've heard of who has REALLY long dreams. I know that the REM stage of sleep only lasts for a short time, and that Lucid Dreams usualy last even shorter, but when i have a Lucid Dream it seems to last for hours! Does anyone else have incredibly long dreams?

My lucid dreams are bout 15-20 minutes long maybe? but some non lucid dreams i have seem to last for hours

Last night, my lucid dream seemed to have lasted for a couple of hours, maybe more. When you first begin dreaming, the dreams only seem to last for a few minutes. But as you get more and more skilled, it seems as if the REM period lasts longer, as your mind is lifting the barriers that's been placed in front of it.
In a way, it seems to be like exercising. The more you exercise, the easier it is to exercise in the future.

I get really long dreams too. I didn't even realize it until recently when I started remembering 2 or 3 dreams a night. For instance last night I had a very long dream that spanned an entire day, and I didn't even remember dreaming at all until I was in the shower.

The longest dream I have had timescale wise is 40 years (really). In real time though, that would also be the longest dream I have had but it must have lasted only 30-60 minutes. I know it couldn't physically last this long but there must have been some time-compression type thing going on.

so great
You should treasure those lengthy dreams. You can do a lot of exploration within them.
Can you not wake up from them whenver you want to?

I can usually wake up when I want to by going to sleep in the dream. If I fall asleep in the dream, I'm not sure if I wake up at that moment, but the Dream will end.
