Finally lucid!
I had an interesting LD last night. I was walking along in a city wearing nothing but a t-shirt, on my way to perform at a rock concert. It dawned on me that it was an odd situation, and I wondered if I was dreaming. I considered doing a RC, but then just thought, "nah, stuff that. I'm dreaming."
The weird thing is that instead of realising I was dreaming, I seemed to just decide it. I then tried a watch RC, which has worked for me in the past, and it said the same thing both times. I did a nose RC and that worked fine. I like that one.
Anyway what I'm getting at is that I think we always know on some level if we're dreaming. I guess the key is to drill the message into your mind to remember to acknowledge you are dreaming, rather that "test" if you are dreaming.
EDIT: Another thing I should mention, this happened after a long dry spell. For the last week or so I have not thought much about LDs or tried to induce them, so I guess if you're having a dry spell, just forget about LDs for a while and you might have one.

Yeah, I've only ever had like 3 LDs and only 1 was worth anything. But I've never become lucid with any techniques other than just becoming more "aware" I guess. I just am going about my normal dream business and then I think "uh, I'm dreaming." I don't even do an RC after that, I just assume I'm right and go about my business. When my dreams become more and more realistic I better watch out and be more cautious about whether I'm dreaming or not though ;-) Well anyways congrats on having one after a dry spell! I wouldn't know about those because I'm so new to it I haven't had enough time to have a dry spell ;-)
