      Dreaming ABOUT lucid dreaming.....

      Hello people,

i had an weird kind of lucid dream tonight... i cannot tell if it was an lucid dream but it came really really close.

Last night i had an dream where i was dreaming about an lucid dream... i can remember i did reality checks and yes it was lucid dreaming. But i almost had no control, actually you can say no control.... i've read alot about people here that they can spawn humans and other amazing stuff but i couldn't. It was felt like a normal dream but this one felt like a normal dream dreaming about lucid dreaming. i've also posted an topic about my very first lucid dreaming but that was a total fail because i couldn't do anything.

And i have an questions...: - Is it possible for experienced lucid dreamers to have LD's every night?
      - How can i just change everything. Im affraid i slip in an LD again and cannot do anything.

I hope someone can tell me what this is.

      thanks in advance

I think this is a "semi-lucid" dream? Like, when you know you're dreaming, but you're not aware enough to actually take charge? There are many levels of awareness, and if you're not aware enough, you just go on with your dream, even if a part of you does acknowledge the fact that it is a dream.

An example: I've had dreams where I was being chased and I thought "FINE, I'M DREAMING, SO I CAN JUST JUMP UP AND FLY AWAY FROM THEM". Which worked, yes. But had I been more aware, I'd have just changed the dream and done something I really wanted to do, instead of using my tiny awareness of the dream to keep running away from "the bad people".

So, to answer your question. Keep practising. Keep doing RCs. Keep planning what you wanna do once you find yourself in a lucid dream. One day, you will be aware enough to take control and, trust me, it'll help a lot if you already know what you want to do.

You're definitely on the right track, btw. A bit more and you'll be doing whatever you want in your dreams!

EDIT: here's an interesting link for you... Levels of lucidity

Simply your level of awareness was not high enough. I also get these dreams. You had an inkling of lucidity, your mind was just too foggy to focus on it. More practice, more reality checks and keep writing in your dream journal will raise your awareness and you'll get less and less of these
