"DEILDing" within a dream
So I had this weird dream (some of it lucid) that I think is worth sharing... :)
No time to write the DJ on the site, so I'll be very short and just point out the relevant events:
Quote:
1. Woke up after 5 hours of sleep (because of my sister's kid - they stayed with us this weekend)
2. After being awake for 3 more hours, decided to take a nap on a couch in my study room (not my bedroom) - the time was 8:35
3. I wake up on the couch in my study because of more crying from the kid. Still feel tired. Wash face. I check the time, it's 8:30. Continue with doing normal stuff (computer, clean up). 'WAIT! 8:30 ?!? I'm dreaming! Sh*t, I must be oversleeping, I need to wake up... It must be like noon by now [based on the new recall I had]... I have things to do..." :panic:
4. I wake up on the couch in my study. I'm still tired. I turn to the left, and mom and sister look at me (sitting beside the bed). "hmm, what are you doing here?" I say, barely opening my eyes. "It's late. You told us to wake you up, we were just about to do that," they reply. "What time is it?" I ask in a sleepy voice. "11:40" mom replied. I changed my mind, and decide that I need more sleep, and wanted to get back to that lucid. "I'm going to sleep some more".
5. They went away, while I did a DEILD. To my defense I only turned automatically, eyes were mostly closed, and had many dreams recalled - IRL I had success with DEILDs that unlikely :cheeky:
6. I visualize waking up at 8:30 on the couch that morning. It works, I wake up in that same scene on the couch.
7. Start observing being lucid, the room, and think about goals. Even started levitating in the room a bit... Then I think, "wait, didn't I lock the door this morning when I went to take the nap?!? This, this means I was still dreaming when I woke up!" Again I started thinking that it might be very late, and I need to wake up.
8. I wake up - this time for real. It's 10:02. The whole thing was that amazing and I felt well rested so I decided to record it instead of DEILDing IRL. :chuckle:
What do you guys think? Also, how many lucids should I count it as, in your opinion? I mean, I DILDed twice (at 3. & 7.), but was I actually lucid in that "successful DEILD" (at 6.)? I did have a lot of recall, even tasks and goals...
