which perspective are most of your lucid dreams in?
Always first person for me, but I think I may have had a few third person moments.
I've never seen myself in third person in a dream. I don't think that I could wrap my mind around what I look like from all angles; I only ever see myself in a mirror.
So you've never actually looked at your back and don't know what it looks like? That's amazing.Quote:

Well, I've seen it before in my life, of course. I think in a picture or something. But, honestly, when do you see what you look like from behind? I mean, I can kinda-sorta visualize what I'd look like, but I don't know with absolutely certainty like I do my front. Maybe I should have somebody film me for a while and study what I look and sound like for a while, so I can better interact with myself in my dreams.Quote:

Always first person.

Normal/Good Dreams - 1st Person

If so maybe you could try to take control from a third person perspective. Wich is very weird if you think about it.
But what I mean is direct or command yourself from the seat of the third person, wich is you too. ./...Waite. How many of "you" are there? :P
Some say each DC is a represantaion of yourself in some manner or another.
I actually have three kinds:
1st person
3rd person
Spectator
In many of my recent dreams, I am just a spectator and see everything unfold. I'm not even in the dream. And I guess I have about two-thirds of my dreams in first person and one-third in third person.
First person and spectator - there have been a few dreams I can recall where I just watch and am not involved in anyway.
I don't recall ever having a dream in 3rd person
90% are 1st person
but once in a while I get one where it's 3rd person, or it switches back and forth from 1st to 3rd
really annoying, because my dream control is crap when it's 3rd, and semi-lucid at best
My LDs are usually in first person, but I had one where I was in third and tried to switch to first and it woke me up. I guess I got what I wanted, although not exactly how I wanted it :|

Unfortunately, I've not become lucid in 3rd Person dreams :( I've never developed and practiced a "game plan" for what to do in those cases. So, I just awaken later with the thought "Oh, a dream about myself....ugh."
There is only 1 "me" in the dream. It's as if I'm seated in a movie theatre, watching myself as a character on the screen. I can't merge with myself "on the screen" because I would need to be lucid to make that transition. The thought of RC never occurs to me in the 3rd Person.

Its about 50-50 for me, sometimes 1st person, other times 3rd person...
I think there may be a few more where its 1st person, but for the most part its 50-50.
usually first, but in one of my lucid dreams it began as first, but then i realized i was dreaming so it was like i was actually in 3rd and then i moved into 1st. thats confusing in words.

Do you know how you moved from 3rd to 1st? I'm having difficulty making that transition.
Thanks,
Deja

I understand what you mean about not becoming aware as a third person. It is as if you are that much further out of the drivers seat. Hmmmmmm??
What if you were to use some type of mnemonic suggestion. Or some type of repetition before going to sleep.
For example. When I see myself I will remember to recognize that I am dreaming.
mainly first person, occasionally spectator.
sometime's i'd switch between.
How? I just blink and it happens. (I'm not lucid durring these dreams)
In lucid dreams, I am always first person.
