Yelling at an old lady

Had my 8th LD last night :) After I became lucid I wanted to see what it was like to act rude towards the dream characters, so I yelled at an old lady. That didn't go so well for me... I actually started feeling really bad for the poor woman :chuckle:

So the dream started off on the side of some freeway, and I was at a rest stop. I was with my wrestling coach and and the rest of the team, and we were on our way to some tournament (I'm on the wrestling team at school btw). Some members of the team were going inside to use the restroom. I didn't have to go so I just stood outside the building waiting for everyone to finish their business. One of the members of the team walked out of the building and came up to me and grabbed my shoulders and asked me if he was dreaming. He sounded concerned so I told him "I'm pretty sure you aren't". So he told me "Ok good, thank you" and he walked away. After he walked away, I went into the building and I thought to myself "why would he ask that question?" So that led me to believe that I might be dreaming. I pinched my nose and tried breathing through it, and then I became lucid. I couldn't believe I was dreaming because of how real it felt. The rest stop that I was in turned into a huge mall with lots of people. My dad appeared next to me. He was busy doing something on his phone, so I wondered off on my own. I walked into one of the stores at this mall (still lucid btw) and in the store, there was an old lady picking out clothes. She saw me and asked for my help. I knew that it was just a dream, so that meant there were no consequences. So I yelled at the top of my lungs at this old lady to shut up. She gave me a dirty look and walked away, then my dad showed up behind me and scolded me. He asked me why I did that in a stern voice. That's when I started to question if I were actually awake or not. I told him that I thought I was dreaming, and that I did a reality check and everything. Then my dad asked me what drugs I was taking, and i told him that I'm not taking any at all. Then I lost lucidity. My dad sort of convinced me I was a wake lol :chuckle:

So yeah that's basically all I did in this LD. I just wanted to see what it would be like to act like a jerk to a dream character and it sort of went bad for me lol. Tell me what you think! Replies would be appreciated :)

What is the most pointless thing you did while lucid? :lol:

Congraz on your 8th LD :) Maybe next time you'll remember to do a reality check twice!

Ha yeah maybe I will. Even after my reality check I was still sort of questioning whether or not I was awake because of how real it all felt :chuckle: Anyways, thanks for replying :)

with time you wont loose lucidity so easy. at the beginning i needed a lot of RCs and assurance that this is really a dream until i was brave enough to jump out of the window.
now i am like: oh this is a dream?! Telekinesis the little dog out of my way phase thru a window and start flying :)

and another thing is expectation:

you want to try to see what happen when you do something bad but (atleast unconsciously) you expect to get a punishment because doing bad stuff is...bad :D and since you are still young, and was in with you father in the mall and he is (or was) the guideline what is good and bad you get what you "expected" :)

Yeah I was going to do another reality check after my dad convinced me I was awake but the dream ended too fast lol. In an earlier LD I had, I did lots of reality checks and I was able to do a lot of supernatural things. It was really cool :)

I mention a few months ago on the fourm here that certain actions within the confines of the LD dose comes with consequences. Warping through the outer dream world for me triggered an alarm that the dream itself was angry at me. So I am sure doing anything to dream characters will also effect them even if there not real.

Beacuse I talked to the dream characters personally and voiced my self to them that I am a Lucid Dreamer they understood me, They believed me and knew all this was part of a dream.
