Did I become a natural lucid dreamer?

So I just had my 9th LD last night with no effort at all. I don't know if it's possible but maybe I became a natural lucid dreamer...? It sounds silly I know but hear me out.

Here's how the dream went down. I was lying in my bed with my dog. I thought to myself "I'm probably dreaming." So I pinched my nose and tried breathing through it and it worked. I became lucid. I got up from my bed and my dog started whining because he wanted a belly rub. I gave him one, but then I thought to myself "this is just a dream. I could give him a belly rub when I wake up." So I got him off of my bed, then I went out front. I remembered that in another LD I had, I was able to run at the speed of light by just telling myself to become lighter and lighter. I did that as I started running around the neighborhood. I actually did start getting pretty fast, but it wasn't at the speed of light. Then I gave up on trying to run at the speed of light and came to a screaching hault. I stopped right next to a stop sign. I wanted to see if I could bend it like rubber, but I didn't know how to go about it. I tried grabbing it and bending it in half, but that didn't work. So I told myself that there is no stop sign. That it's just an imagination. Then I was able to rip the stop sign out of the ground and tie it up in the shape of a pretzel pretty easily. After I did that, the dream ended.

Now here's why I think I may be a natural lucid dreamer now. The past three LDs I've had came to me with no effort at all. I still write in my dream journal, but I only write down like a sentence or two per dream. And I haven't really been doing reality checks like I used to. I haven't been doing them at all recently to be honest. Don't get me wrong, I feel bad about this and I feel like I should be doing these things, but even though I'm not putting in the effort, I'm still having LDs left and right. I don't get it! My only guess is that I became a natural lucid dreamer but I don't even know if that's possible lol.

So yeah that's all that happened in this LD. thanks for reading. Replies, would be appreciated

I suppose it's debatable, but I think as long as lucid dreaming comes naturally to you then you're a natural. I've heard of stories of people who rose to be a natural, those who fell from being a natural, and those who have been a natural as long as they can remember.

As far as why using less effort is making it easier to LD, I think it comes down to self-control. With self-control comes your will to LD. Self-control is like a muscle which is exercised with effort, and like a muscle, the more you use self-control, the weaker it becomes until it recovers. But at the same time, the more you exercise self-control, the stronger it gets, allowing you to use self-control longer before you lose your will to do what you want to do. So, by using less effort during the day, your self-control muscle so to speak and therefore your will to LD is more fresh by the time you're dreaming, making LDing come easier to you.

The thing you said about self-control and my will to lucid dream makes a lot of sense actually. Also now I'm really starting to think that I'm becoming a natural. I'm not lucid dreaming every single night but it's more like maybe 2 to 3 times a week with no effort. And the dreams that ARENT lucid are about lucid dreaming. For example, the dream I had last night wasn't lucid, but I was talking to my mom about reality checks and why they're important for lucid dreaming, then I shower her all the dreams I wrote down in my dream journal. I'm not gonna lie, it's a little bit spooky to me how much I'm able to lucid dream with out any effort now, but it's still interesting. Anyways, thanks for reading and replying
