My first lucid was a nightmare. I think.

So Im having a very vivid dream and I do a reality check and realize I'm dreaming.
After that I immediately hear a voice say now I'm going to give you the type of dream I want to and it turned horrible. I first thought I am the master of my dreams and the initial horrid sight calmed dramatically, however I was trying to create a dream of my own but I just flashing Into what I wanted to create and a mother and her 2 children being solidified slowly by rock or wax or something. Once I had tried for a bit I gave up and woke myself up. What did I do wrong.
