You really aren't alone in being a natural. Many on here are naturals.
If you are serious about using the natural talent for something, you might want to try tutoring those who haven't had even 1 LD yet.
MMph. That'd just be mean. And those of us who could LD would end up forming an army, charging into your dreams, and taking you DOWN!
Heh. Just kidding. I don't think that can actually be done :)
Though the thought of filling your dreams with innumerable pink fluffy bunnies if you annoy us with your 7337ness does have a certain appeal. Hehe!
well, i`d be glad to help out with any experience i made so far, but i guess it`d be kinda hard to describe that. i have to get myself in a certain mood before going to sleep and it doesn`t work when i`m exhausted or very tired, but usually it works out quite cool for me. so, anyome with a question: fire ahead! :)
ps: cool site. i didn`t even know there was a name for these kinda dreams or people that can`t dream that way, let alone a whole online-community. geeeeah!
i too didnt kno a place such as this existed.
i never used to be able to lucid dream and then a coupla years ago i could...the thing is i dont know how or why it changed...virtually all the dreams i hav are lucid in that im aware im dreamin...however i cant think to myself before i go to sleep im gonna hav a dream..it just happens...and i cant control my dreams just yet...i can end them when i want to...and i can replay them once theyv ended again and again but while i control myself i cant control wher the dream takes me...
well, i don`t "plan" these dreams either and i don`T think anyone can. i believe it`s different for each person, but i "control" it by putting me in a certain mood. i like controlling everything so when i go to bed and i`m relaxed and everything, i picture myself in a controlling situation, basically always involving me having magical powers and saving the world. or destroying it, that depends :D and while maing up this story i fall asleep. now the lucid dreams that follow aren`t the same situation and usually never include the people i pictured in my pre-sleep-story, but my magical powers are the same. means i find myself realizin, nice, i`m dreaming, so i must have fallen asleep. let`s find me a rock so that i can start flying....have a try. works out for me!
I think some of the people on here have figured out how to induce LDs, actually. I can't; but I've an idea it might be possible, at least with training, or for certain sorts of people.
Gah, I'm jealous!
well, don`t expect too much. it might turn out a big disappointment once you figured it out. i can`t tell cause i never made these sort of expierences but maybe if you expect too much you get annoyed with it. it might even turn out unpleasant cause if you can`t control it, you may have "bad trips" when your dreams takes over control and you find yourself helpless again. but just keep on trying. it`s nice and relaxing, really, but nothing more. :)
Hi, hope I'm doing this right as I've only just discovered this site! After reading the info on this website I've just realised that I've been having lucid dreams for as far back as I can remember - I just didn't know it. I often wake up and can remember every vivid detail of my dreams and almost always can direct the way they go although sometimes "someone" - I don't know who or what - intervenes and a voice states that I'm not going to get my own way and the dream takes off in a different direction.Quote:

Also, although I know I'm dreaming and try to wake up I find it impossible and almost feel like I have to see the dream to the end before I can get out of it. Does this make any sense to you?
To Piper:
You'll find that a nice number of us here are naturals. I pretty much started when I was able to recognize a nightmare for what it was. My first instinct was always to squint my eyes as hard as I could and sling them open, and I would always wake up when I wanted to. This grew into realizing I was dreaming when I wasn't in trouble, just by weird things happening, and I started learning how to use powers and manifest weapons and all that good stuff. Grew up telling people about it, and always got 'the look.' You know the one. :huh2: And after a while, I just started losing it, because I wasn't paying too much attention to it. Then I heard it was called lucid dreaming and there was a whole world of people who could do it to, and I dove into studying it and strengthening my skills again.
I've found out that the story is a little more common than I would have figured after reading some of the posts on this site.
And dream incubation is not nearly as hard as it seems. As a matter of fact, one of the activities they have around here is a Lucid Task for the Month. These consist of a "Lucid Task" and an "Advanced Lucid Task" posted by the moderators every month, and many of the Dream Viewsers will attempt to complete the task. Many pass, many fail, but it is just one example of how dream incubation can be practiced just as much as dream recall.
To Rosemary:
That voice that is blocking you from whatever you want to do, in a psychological sense, is your own doubt. The waking world is a Major influence on us, no matter how skilled we are at lucid dreaming. A split second of even a subconscious "what if I can't do this?" that you may not even know is there, is a chance for your subconscious mind to trick you and close whatever door it is you are trying to pass through. It may not be something that happens over night, but every time you are faced with something you 'can't do,' stop for a moment, realize "wait...there is no Reason I can't do this. This is my dream" and simply Do It. Bend your way of thinking to pass straight from "I'm about to do something unnatural" to "I'm about to do something natural, and anything that prevents me is simply my subconscious trying to be slick." 8)
Again, that is a psychological sort of answer. Someone more on the spiritual side may give you something more about your Higher Mind working to hinder you from trying to attain a complete Control over what is supposed to be a natural, spiritual dream session. Whichever answer best suits you is up to you, though. Just putting a few on the table.
To Both: Welcome to Dream Views!
Piper, I've been lucid since my memory began. I feel that I have a hard time helping people on this forum because I don't have any techniques to become lucid... it just happens. It always has, and it always does. It's hard to explain something like that to people, and it's hard to tutor them when you yourself have never been tutored.
If you want to talk further, please feel free to send me a PM. I won't feel quite so alone anymore. :)
Hi Piper--
I too have been a lucid dreamer since I almost died at about 4 or 5. But, I'd always thought that was the way everyone dreamed and that it was no big deal. It wasn't until I lost the ability in my teens and then had them return with full intensity in my 20's that I "remembered" I had done it as a child and oh, was I glad to have them back!
I think the key for intuitive or "naturals" is to learn ways of really exploring and utilizing the LD states. As I wrote in another post, I sort of healed myself via a lucid and this is something I'm intensely interested in and want to know more about--that's why I'm a student.
Can you imagine how great it would be to discover that we humans have a built-in capacity via our dreams to heal illnesses and disease? Talk about revolutionary concepts....
Aaargh! There's too much experience in this room!
must... fight... jealousness...!!
Wait a sec... what's this?
I'm on it! (No point in being jealous when I can learn from naturals) :goodjob2:Quote:
